This was a favorite of mine. The art, the music, the atmosphere... it was a masterpiece. Sure, the extensive backtracking and lack of replay ability made it tough to follow at times, but the rest of the elements made up for it. Theresia is an underrated game for the ds and anyone still looking at it should consider purchasing it.

This game have a absurd sinister atmosphere. And it's good because it's intentional. The suspense atmosphere is very intense. And is no break for it. Better then many horror games. The game story evolves good too. And the gameplay is decent. I recommend for adventure fans and horror fans.

I wanted to like this game, I really did. But the sinister mystery behind Theresia will never fully unravel for me, because I cannot finish this game. Why? Because despite it's gripping story, beautiful artwork and obvious effort, the flaws impede too far on the good. I was enjoying it for the first few hours, but then things started to get weird. The puzzles began to get so convoluted *Why light a candle and hold it with a cloth when you can manhandle it on those spikes over there the game has spent so long teaching you to avoid like the plague and THEN light?* and the clues to find key information began getting more ridiculous to find. Plus, throw in a painful amount of backtracking through what I unbiasedly can say are the most mind numbingly bland and awful looking corridors I've ever seen on any platform, and it gets annoying really quick. Couple this with short tunes that grow lamer and lamer thanks to endless looping, and it just becomes too much. Soon, I found myself clinging to a walkthrough in order to get anywhere further in the game, and even then it still was horribly frustrating. Before long, the sense of immersion and dread they had sought to build was **** by intrusively awkward mechanics, and I couldn't take it anymore. I just can't recommend this game and I'm sad to admit that you'd just be better off looking up the story and gorgeous cutscenes on the Internet. Save yourself some time, money, frustration and ultimately disappointment. Theresia tries, and I can respect it for that. But it also fails to deliver.
