What drew me in to this game, wasn't the gameplay and its mechanics. But the amazing color pallette, art direction, music, and it was made by the same team that made the handheld games for Kingdom Hearts. I couldn't get into the gameplay, which is the main reason why I play a game, but all of its' other attributes were still amazing. So a 6 star seems fair to me.

La verdad que casi ninguna queja excepto el combate, no me llegó a gustar del todo el sistema de de usar la flechas y el touchpad a la vez. La historia y la vibra que tiene es única, pero sin duda lo mejor es la música y es que muchos de los temas los escucho hoy en día y no se olvidan fácil. Una pena que no haya tenido tanto exito como otras sagas de square (final fantasy) y que ya no vaya a haber más secuelas pero sin duda TWEWY es una obra de culto y que si te gustan los videojuegos de rol tienes que probar. Además es de lejos el mejor juego de la DS

this game is genuinely my favorite game of all time
the story is phenomenal and the themes of widening your horizons and becoming a better person are great and play into every little aspect of the game, the battle system is really unique and fun once you get used to it the characters are genuinely amazing and so cool and the graphics are so stylish and cool oh my god i love this GAME
this game is proof that gaming is an artform. it got an adaptation and it turned out to be ass because this is a story better told through the medium of gaming in my opinion (also because the story in the anime was really rushed and the 3d graphics were a bit weird but whatever) my only issue with this game is those dumb **** uh stupid uh trivia sections you gotta do every other time they really **** up the pace and sometimes forces me to backtrack and write things down and i do mot like that amazing game though

And while it all seems a little hokey or emo (as the kids call it these days) at first, The World Ends With You is actually one of the most interesting and gratifying experiences I’ve had with an RPG in years.

It is a great example of innovative gameplay, and though it might take a while to get a hold on the actual battle mechanics, once you get going, you won't be able to stop!

All that said, this is a game that doesn't pander to the casual gamer. Those that persevere will however find a very accessible experience bubbling under the teen angst.

My favorite game on DS. I played as a kid when i didnt know english and i enjoy it. When i grow up and learn english, i replay the game and absolute love it! The story is a very good with plot twists and the gameplay and soundtrack is a masterpiece. If you didn't play it, just do it!

The unique combat system plays like a dream, and the stylized atmosphere is also unique. But it's definitely dialogue-heavy, which can be a turn-off for many gamers. It's ultimately too slow for me.

The story telling, characters, and music are what is saving this game back from a lower grade. But one of the worst combat systems in a JRPG, let alone a video game, undo anything promising that the game might have had. Battles are an absolute chore in this game.

This game is the epitome of overhype. Did they need to sell a bunch of units so they got a bunch of good reviews pumped out? How is this supposed to be a fun game? I would love to just have ANY idea of what the hell is going on. The storytelling is loose at best. Not giving the viewer information does not make something mysterious or interesting, it’s just bad writing. I feel like people just give this game good reviews to pretend to be apart of some exclusive club that “gets” something the rest of us idiots don’t understand. Right. Bad game.
