A game in the purest sense, even if there aren't any bosses to defeat or coins to collect. You could have been playing this game for 10 years (and, as the dated midi rumblings prove, this game shows its age), and if you haven't yet, I've got to maintain that your GBA is the best way to experience it.

For a pocket simulation, I found the game to be incredibly deep with a number of options available for me to take advantage of.

Players who aren't willing to spend hours and hours crafting their dream tower and instead want a quick pick-up-and-play simulation will be very hesitant to pursue a career with The Tower.

Without getting too fuddy duddy, the low-stress charm of building your skyscraper is hard to really knock, expecially for fans of casual simulations. [Jun 2006, p.119]

The foundation is there for a sound game, but the lack of options and activities can make The Tower SP feel more like a fixer-upper than prime real estate. [May 2006, p.91]

Comfortable in its tried-and-true play style, it changes little from its predecessors. Basically, it is a way to breathe new life into an old (though still popular) franchise, and a way for addicts of the originals to take their drug of choice with them on the road.

An excellent title overall and has been modified and upgraded in a way that it comfortably moves its way into this decade.

Sim Tower is over a decade old, and looks it. But if you're looking for something a little more cerebral to play on your GBA (or your DS, for that matter), Tower perfectly captures the timeless, relaxing fun of building something vast and complicated, and sitting back and watching it work.

Not overly hard to play, but this is a simplistic building/economic sim at best.

The addictive gameplay hasn't aged, but the graphics and the almost non-existent sound effects certainly seem dated.
