The Outlast Trials is by far the best co-op horror experience on console right now. The intensity and the well-crafted design of each trial make you want to dive back in every single time you manage to escape alive. And being able to get jumpscared and disturbed with up to three friends just makes it much better. A must-play for any survival horror enthusiast!

The Outlast Trials is a masterpiece in blending cooperative gameplay with the disgusting outrageous horror of the iconic series. Gameplay feels both exhilarating and terrifying, creating unique moments for me and my friends that I will remember for a long time. Whilst the game doesn’t have a memorable story to tell, its characters and enemies are truly unforgettable. Stunning presentation and design help to keep me coming back for more and a fairly robust progression helps to create longevity. I just wish I could experience the trials again for the first time. See you in the madhouse.

Though the game grows on you with time (more like mould than a friendship), so too does the feeling that it lacks what made the originals great. [Issue#39, p.76]

its not good i liked all outlast games but trails is not scary to make it multiplayer is a bad choice i hope in the future they stick to singleplayer more

I didn't play a lot of co-op online horror games. Although, this one will surely satisfy most users. It wasn't scary enough but rather funny if you happen to complete the missions with your friends, I mean what can you expect ? The mechanics are good, I didn't experience a single bug and the abilities were cool. I noticed however some optimization issues, like the game start lagging the first time you boot up.

A serviceable enough online co-op horror experience, but it doesn't have the gameplay quality or variety to provide more than a few hours of fun.

The Outlast Trials is a brutally fresh twist of the knife for the franchise. Cooperative play meshes seamlessly with the horror experience, allowing players to squad up and take on brutal trials that are as horrifying as they are fun to survive together. Solo play is more trouble for the same reward, so it’s a good thing the game includes a matchmaking system. With more content on the way, it’s clear Murkoff has struck gold with this new take on a loved IP!

One of the best multi-player horror games of all time, it kept the aspect of horror not like Dead by daylight, I hope they add more contents and more dlcs so they keep the game at good place and available for all time like dbd and I hope to add also the option to play against mastermind like RESIDENT EVIL RESISTANCE did but they didn't succeed on it due to lack of new content and the game is behind a strict condition to buy RESIDENT EVIL 3 remake and also they messed up with not adding crossplay

The Outlast Trials offers an amazing multiplayer, fit to perfection. The maps, the atmosphere, the customization is just so great, and is one of the better horror multiplayer games out there. Only lackluster part of it is the updates. It needs new levels, and gets repetitive after completing everything. Overall experience, it is a W game, i'd recommend it to those who wish to play engaging multiplayer horror.

The Outlast Trials pulls off a great multiplayer horror experience, whilst keeping the spirit of the franchise alive and screaming. There’s not a whole lot to keep you playing after exploring all the levels and the gameplay itself can feel quite repetitive. With that said, there are some brilliant scares and clever ways to keep you on your toes if you so desire to keep going back to therapy.

The Outlast Trials is a solid co-op horror game that develops the ideas from previous installments in an interesting way. However, it’s a pity that the story is fragmented so much that it becomes unengaging. Plus, it’s a title you should experience with your friends, because it can be tiresome when played with randoms.

The Outlast Trials is good because Outlast was good. This is a creepy horror experience with all the dashing about and horrific mutants I loved about the first one, and I’m going to find myself coming back to it more often than I care to admit. It feels like The Outlast Trials is riding the coattails of the series, using the same tricks and scares instead of effectively innovating on the formula. I had a good time, but I leave it unconvinced Red Barrels even knows what made the first game such a sleeper hit.

Ultimately, The Outlast Trials finds itself in a bit of an awkward spot. It doesn’t quite hit the mark as a single player game, though playing alone is where the true horror lies. Play it with others, and while you’re likely to have more fun, it comes at the expense of atmosphere and scares. For many though, repetition is likely to be the biggest issue with The Outlast Trials; sneaking around in the dark is only fun for so long, after all. Still, that’s not to say this experiment is a total failure — it has a lot to offer for those who do find enjoyment in its grotesque endeavors.

El juego es muy entretenido, es un juego con una jugabilidad fácil y que te puede llegar a enganchar, aparte el juego si te saca unos buenos sustos, el juego está lleno de contenido y tiene mucha vida por delante

It can really be fun despite the overly dungeon crawly nature of it. Once you get the hang of it, it gets great.

Enemies having magical spider senses that show them exactly where you are in total darkness and their ability to instakill you is laughably stupid. Such a wasted opportunity of a cool concept
SummaryRed Barrels invites you to experience mind-numbing terror, this time with friends. Whether you go through the trials alone or in teams, if you survive long enough and complete the therapy, Murkoff will happily let you leave… but will you be the same?
