The Drifter
While The Drifter mostly succeeds as an immersive interactive novel, the experience, although solid and well paced, never quite evolves into something more than a moody two-evening adventure. What’s really a shame with Powerhoof’s creation is that while it’s a finely crafted point-and-click with great art direction and dark atmosphere, its shift from noir character drama and tense thriller to sprawling sci-fi conspiracy pulp is ultimately a disservice to the emotional potential of its arresting opening chapters.
The Drifter is a loving ode to Sierra's golden age of adventure games. With its B-movie-style writing, pulpy 80s action aesthetic, excellent voice acting, and clever puzzles, it’s a throwback worth playing. Despite some limitations that reveal the small team’s resources, it will delight fans of classic adventures and 80s action movies alike.
Finding faults with The Drifter is as difficult as pixel hunting in classic point & click games, and therefore it naturally deserves the highest possible rating.

I really like how they modernized the concept of a point & click adventure. And the voice acting is very good. And there is a good story, if somehow "out there".... However, from about chapter 4 and further on, the frustrations really started to grow for me. Quite a lot of things you have to do to move ahead, are just not very intuitive/obvious. Or sometimes even completely farfetched. What really isn't helping, is when the mechanics of things get in the way. Like when you have to repeat the same action multiple times to get right/final result. Or that when you look at something at the wrong time, you will not find something, making you think what you need is not there (or nothing you could need is there), and then later it suddenly is. This felt like I had no choice but to just click on everything multiple times, regardless of the fact of this made any sense. And that I was just trying random stuff. And some combinations of objects you have to make are not very intuitive. There usually aren't that many objects at most moments, so you can brute-force it, but that is not how I want to play a game like this. So that is why I don't like the game in the end, and do not recommend it.

A breath of fresh air into a stale and old genre. Highly recommended even with some small hiccups here and there.

güzel seslendirme, güzel bir hikaye, güzel bulmacalar sadece bazı nölümlerde tempo düşüklüğü oldu.

Probably the best point-and-click adventure since Grim Fandango in '98. It doesn't have the scope of those old games, but it's not meant to. It's also not a piddling 'episodic' adventure game where you just mash things together and wander through half a storyline. The narrative is full and rich and so much more expansive than the early game would let on. It's a real journey. It's point-and-click which achieves a high-paced rhythm through the use of a novel game mechanic which forces you to remain engaged and even on-edge without resorting to bogged down timing gimmicks or the addition of other other-genre-specific mechanics that other games have relied on in the past. The characters are full and endearing, amazingly voice-acted and painstakingly animated. The narrative is compelling and twisty. The art, music and dialog clearly labors of love and dedication. For a small team to put out something together of this magnitude and precision is worthy of nothing but the highest praise.

The Drifter's lovely art, excellent voice acting, and great writing make it a treat to play. It even has exciting gameplay, even if it can't escape all the foibles of the genre.

The Drifter is much more than a classic style adventure game. It is one of the best psychological thrillers of recent years. Giving us a powerful and intense narrative that never lets go, accompanied by a visual and sound style polished to perfection. And a plot twist that will make you throw your hands to your head.

Final Weapon
The Drifter is a messy first attempt at the point-and-click genre from Powerhoof. The story can be frustrating at times, which can extend to the puzzles that leave you confused when returning after a long break. However, the story comes together beautifully, making the mess seem intentional and worth your time.

From a lifetime fan of point-and-click adventure games -- this is one of the best I've ever played. It puts a new spin on a classic formula by adding the element of danger and time into certain scenes. Forces you to think quickly and adds a level of excitement. All the characters are voiced, the voice actors are great -- very funny at times but also very heartwarming or tragic. I laughed, I cried, I felt -- imagine that, in a modern video game. Support indie developers who aren't afraid to put real-life, mature situations into a game. Who don't treat their audience like babies or like fragile snowflakes. Life is tragic, life is sad, life is bittersweet. This game is "a real one", loved it.

This game does everything right except for the most important thing for a narrative-focused game: the story. They lost me early on and then kept going. full review: You Tube Dot Com /watch?v=qBijbO3nsv0

who releases a pc game in 2025 without windowed fullscreen? this has been a requirement for most games to be enjoyed going back at least 10 years. even if it wasn't standard before that, it was a sign that the developer actually cares about their product. this is the most basic aspect of the game, i need it to have a consistent visual display that doesnt have a box around it and doesnt clip out and minimize every time i click on another app. i might come back to give this another chance, but when i find an issue this glaring this early into the game, i have a hard time investing myself. to any devs reading this: please think about the introductory experience of your game from the moment it launches. if the interface ****, nobody is going to play it.

Notifications. Blinking notifications. They're extremely annoying. I have them on insta, on X, on FB and now in games too? No, I can't stand it, especially considering I have OCD. And you can't even disable them, there's no option. Can't play this game.
