My Childhood favorite Sonic game and it was remastered on PS5 for the best reasom

It was pretty good. The level design was great and the presentation was stellar. Things I didn't like include Planet Wisp, some of the challenges, and I wish the the remixed levels were a bit more unique like Mania's.

It's a Perfect Return from the Dark Age of Sonic and Also a Perfect Game to be made on a 20th Anniversary and the levels are actually good! (Except Plant Wisp) but I'm still salty about The Drift not being as Slippery as Unleashed.

Sonic Generations is basically the ultimate "best of" album for the series. It’s a massive celebration of everything that makes Sonic great, successfully blending the classic 2D side-scrolling nostalgia with the high-octane 3D "Boost" **** standout feature is seeing iconic levels like Chemical Plant and City Escape reimagined with stunning, modern visuals. Playing as both Classic and Modern Sonic keeps the variety high, and the remixed soundtrack is an absolute standout. It’s easily one of the most polished and joyful entries in the franchise—a perfect love letter to fans that actually sticks the landing on both speed and platforming. But still hasn’t top Unleashed because of modern Sonic gameplay. And there are so many mods around to experiment with this game.

One of the most solid "boost formula" sonic games, however it's still a boost game. Linear, slightly boring. Classic stages are cool, but classic sonic's physics are kinda wacky. That said - I did thoroughly enjoy my time with this game. I had a lot of fun with the challenge levels, the story was solid and had its funny moments. It's a really fun game! Solid 8/10.

big potential, but i just cant give this game as much as i want to. i came back to it after becoming an adult, and just couldnt ignore the issuses. traversel between stages is boring, story is just not good enough. i get that its supposed to be a game for the ani that goes over a bunch of history, but if i didnt really enjoy the game can i give it a high score?

Such a magical game. I have incredible memories playing this when it was first released. If you grew up playing Sonic, this will feel like a love letter. It is in my eyes the best Sonic game, and honestly one of the best platformers I’ve played. It’s got great music, great levels, great visuals, and by far the most responsive controls of any modern Sonic game. The remaster is done excellently too, though some of the changes that have been made to the characters and their interactions are just silly, and the Shadow stages, while spectacular in design and riveting in gameplay, don’t feel quite as memorable. The only issue I have with it is the length which is noticeably short, but that’s a common point of criticism for pretty much any Sonic game. The final boss is also horrendously designed.

This game is a masterpiece a celebration of sonic's past introducing classic sonic whose gameplay is pretty fun however modern Sonic is the most fun boost gameplay I have ever had. So making this 2nd best sonic game, It isn't as good as Sonic adventure 2

Story 3/10: I read somewhere that this game's story feels like it was thought out in a car ride, and honestly I agree, basically no story, if anything this game would have benefited more if it just completely forgone the story, because what's here is completely unimportant to anything you'd get out from this game. Gameplay: Modern Sonic 7/10: Even though I still vastly prefer the Day stages in Unleashed, the levels in this game are really good, unfortunately, what brings this play style down for me, is surprisingly enough, the keybinds, I've died countless times to homing attacks that happened when I was just trying to jump after landing. In games like this binding multiple actions to one button is a bad idea, look at the Adventure games for instance. I don't understand why Y was just left as another jump Button when it could have easily been for homing attacks. Not to mention the inclusion of 2D segments feels redundant, if they were similar to Unleashed I probably would have bumped it up higher. Classic Sonic 9/10: Classic Sonic controls similarly to Sonic 2, and while I gave that game a 6/10, the simple fact that you can now perform a spin dash with a simple press of a button instead of having to stop, crouch and the perform the spin dash, makes Classic Sonic so fun to play as you fly through the levels. The levels themselves were really fun to optimise, as a consistently found myself preferring Classic Sonic over Modern Sonic. Overall 8/10: The game itself also had a few glitches, as I was able to consistently clip through walls and break the camera, and the final boss was one of, if not the worst in the series as I pressed the boost button while looking for rings that looked exactly like the Time Eater's particle effect. Visuals 8/10: I love the unique UI they went for, it reminds me of the Japanese box covers for the original genesis games, the game itself is also really clean visually. Music 8/10: This game consists pretty much all of remixes, and most of, if not all of them, are at least solid and are at best absolute bangers, like Classic City Escape. Overall 8/10: While I would initially give this game a 9/10, the annoyances I repeatedly had with Modern Sonic eventually knocked this down for me, fortunately, however, this is still an amazing experience from start to finish.

this game is like awesome i played it on my xbox 360 and i beat it. it was (i think) the first sonic i ever beat. the levels are cool but the egg dragoon and the final boss were pretty hard to beat!

Sonic Generations is my bid childhood sonic game in my opinion because it has very good graphics, boss and characthers and sometimes i cry when im playing here in this year so that's it.

Honestly Sonic Generations is the best game in the entire series in my opinion. It is by far the best introductory title you could give someone who is new to Sonic games, as it gives them a sort of recap of everything that came before it, and I hope the remake coming out in a month will add more stages for Sonic himself to go through to help catch up anyone who's new to the series. It's a pretty easy game, it's the first game I've ever 100% completed ever, and I think it does have a lot of content for people who want to take it seriously but also easy and simple enough to not be a hassle to new players. Also, personally, **** you Planet Wisp Act 2 you're my least favorite stage

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sonic Games, this is an amazing way to deliver to long time fans. The choice to give us classical and modern versions of Sonic was a spectacular decision, giving us ways to experience the classic games in its 2D style, and the more modern 3D style of the games. The stages are also beautifully recreated, with colours and details that make you feel great to be playing the game. The storyline is also enjoyable, with Eggman finding a deity that can manipulate time and space and using it undo all of Sonics victories, only for him and his past self to fight both modern and classic Eggman with the support of all the friends he's made along the way. It's touching, thrilling and puts a smile on my face everything i play it. Would highly recommend.

The perfect celebration game. All the stages are nostalgic and very fun to play. Both Sonics also control pretty well.

Sonic Generations is a bit overrated and has a better reputation than it should be. It offers you a cool combination of stages from every former Sonic game at the time and I fully appreciate this. Crisis City, Speed Highway and Planet Wisp are visually my favourites. The interactions between the modern and classic versions of the characters is entertaining to watch. The gameplay works well and it is the best game to get into the Sonic franchise. However, this game has more issues than you will think when you read reviews from Sonic fans. The first and obvious one is, that this game is really short, when you only focus on the main objective. This will be for sure a negative point for many players, but actually it was not for me. Would this game be longer I wouldn't finished it a second time. The optionial challenges aren't fun to play and you have to beat one for every stage to move forward. Sadly, as creative as they are, I don't like any of them, which means that the optional half of the game is skipable for me. Than there is the feature of the game itself, you play every Stage as modern and as classic Sonic and you have to finish both to complete it and move forward. As much as I like the design of classic Sonic, I clearly prefer the modern Sonic gameplay, because of the 3D-Boost mechanic. Unfortunately this is where my other issue with this game lies. In the 3D-Sonic stages are 2D-sections as well and they are not short. In fact they become more and more extensive in the later stages of the game So you don't have a game, which is half 2D and the other half 3D, it is more two third of the game are 2D. The problem is the 2D-Sections in the 3D-Stages brakes the boost gameplay completely. Finally the bosses are mixed in quality. Perfect Chaos and Egg Dragoon are easy the best bosses in the game and exciting to beat. All the others are too easy or their mechanic does not work perfectly. The final boss is the worst of the bunch. You will not get an idea what you have to do at first and when you get it, it is so boring to play.

Its a good game took some of the best levels from past sonic games it also took the boost formula from sonic unleashed and made it almost as good but planet wisp was really only bad part of the game and the finale boss was decent at best

I didn't like this one. The humor for the most part is just the characters constantly saying "CUTE" and of course the Help Wanted reference was such a REMEMBER THIS SQUIDWARD moment. All you have to do is focus more on the animals. Make it entertaining and bam! A good episode.

Грати стало краще адже гру оптимізували під Xbox Series, а це 60 к/сек. та збільшена роздільна здатність гри! Чудова гра про Соніка! Переосмислення рівнів з попередніх частин ігор про синього їжака в новій графіці під класичний 2D стиль та сучасний буст стиль! Сюжет банальний але красива та кольорова графіка, крутий саундтрек та добре керування персонажем роблять цю гру чудовою. Рекомендую цю гру всім любителям платформерів!
