Sniper Elite: Resistance is a good game. It is not pushing new ground for the series except in the multiplayer functionality. What Rebellion has made is a solid title that expands carefully on the concepts of the previous game without rocking the boat. An explosive and gut-exploding dose of sniper fun. If this doesn't explode your testicles, nothing will!
Sniper Elite: Resistance is easier and more fun-focused than past games. The shift is welcome, avoiding tedious repetition in more accessible difficulty modes.
Resistance doesn’t introduce any major innovations, but it once again delivers a solid mix of action and mission planning, which is the Rebellion’s winning formula. However, the series can no longer rely solely on its signature cinematic kills to stay relevant. A general refresh, including technical improvements, is becoming necessary before the franchise risks slipping into a nostalgic more of the same repetition.

Sniper E. Résistance est juste un bon jeu. Il n'est pas mauvais mais on a juste envie de le finir et passer à autre chose car la licence depuis le 3eme opus ne fait vraiment plus d'efforts... et c'est vraiment dommage !

This serie's peak was 3 and 4. New guy is so annoying, previous main character was better for this kinda game. For 5, it wasn't that annoying because game was good and kinda fast-paced, but I can't stand this game. So slow, bad ai. Not a sniping game, just a boring stealth game...

The people at Rebellion have taken another step in the right direction with "Sniper Elite: Resistance." The latest game offers a gripping story, improved gameplay, and great technology. The title is based on the familiar gameplay concept of its predecessors, but many small, important elements have been integrated into the game, offering an improved gameplay experience. The improved "kill cam" also features some new animations and moments. The multiplayer mode and the ability to play the campaign with friends are among the other highlights of the new game. Anyone who wants to experience the exciting new story and new characters should definitely take a closer look at "Sniper Elite: Resistance."

Sniper Elite: Resistance is here, and it's not reinventing the wheel. It is the same craft that we've seen, with a more cheerful protagonist, in different locales. But that's not a bad thing, as Rebellion have only striven to improve the head-popping formula that they clearly care about. Another trip back behind enemy lines, Resistance is just as fun as any of the Sniper Elite's before it.

Sniper Elite: Resistance delivers more of the excellent tactical stealth shooting action that Sniper Elite 5 boasted three years ago. It might be a familiar experience, but for genre fans, it's still an easy recommendation.

It's SE5 with better maps, better guns, and some tweaks here and there to the AI, and that's all I need to hold me over until SE6; though it would've been better received by everyone(including myself) if it were $50 not $60. There are only a couple of bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking. I've spent about 30 hours in it so far so I'd say it's just a spin-off to hold us over until 6.

Yes, it's more of the same as Sniper Elite 5, but what is wrong with that? Loved Sniper Elite 5 and love this.

Packed with that familiar caliber of intriguing level design and emergent gameplay, Sniper Elite: Resistance may not be the most radical of changes, but it undoubtedly makes up for it in its retaining the series’ joyous curating of tactile shots and careful planning alike.

Sniper Elite: Resistance is a reasonable continuation of the franchise, its sniping highs remain as amusing as ever thanks to some neat environmental gameplay, but much of its content rehashes what came before instead of evolving the series concept for a true next-gen sequel.

Sniper Elite: Resistance serves as more of a stopgap than a full-blown sequel to Sniper Elite 5, so much of that experience — including its highs and lows — carries over two and a half years later. Its sniping action truly is elite, but the gunplay surrounding it still needs work. Equally, the Invasion Mode is again a standout while enemy AI remains frustrating at times. It is more of the same. However, when that similarity is a fairly unique model in the first place, Sniper Elite: Resistance just about gets away with it.

Sniper Elite: Resistance might be worth a look if you love the series and want more of the same. Unfortunately that's all you get, and the formula has grown rather stale.

I always loved this series thanks to its beautiful settings (graphics, sounds, scenery). It is still very well done, but the same way as the last games. I did not really see an improvement in the graphics. They seem a little bit outdated now. There is no more any wow effect.

Used to be such a fan of this series, but this latest edition is a huge step back. Dated graphics, repetitive gameplay, and stale features. Why can't we get a refresh of the Xray system? Why can't we get more detailed deaths and injuries.

Echoing what a lot of other people have said here. I don't take issue with new games in a franchise not breaking the mold, but this one is an active step down in quality. Bugs abound (trying to crouch up stairs, anyone?), visuals and animations feel like PS4 or even late PS3 level, the main character is aggravating and his action phrases are repetitive before you've even heard them, the system for enemies becoming alerted is wildly off, the game almost feels more like an insult than an actual honest release. Giving it a 4 because the sniper elite gameplay is there, so at least there's that, but don't buy this game until it's on a deep discount. Shouldn't be too long.

SummaryOffering unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the attention of the award-winning series towards a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.
