The aim of Smalland: Survive the Wilds is to provide an introductory adventure to the survival genre, and it accomplishes this goal admirably. While certain aspects, like the story or combat, may feel somewhat limited due to their simplicity, the game truly shines in its exploration of a vibrant and resource-rich jungle, offering an enjoyable and engaging experience.

Smalland: Survive the Wilds is an impressive survival game with a lot of heart, and a crafting system that is filled with options.

Smalland stands out for presenting a setting in a rich and diverse universe, being excellent for creation and survival games. Greater adjustments and refinements could further improve the experience over time, but it is perhaps a game more suitable for those who are not looking for a very robust combat system.

I got into Smalland after playing Grounded for a while and it really surprised me with some of its mechanics, like seasons, weather system and also mounts. The progression is fairly easy, so you can finish the game really quick. The story is not the best and not the worst - it's just exists. Gameplay wise, the items in the game are really helpful with travelling around the forest, but the fighting seems a bit clanky and stiff, which is not the best side of the game. Overall, I had really good time with the game, but won't come back to it, since the endgame is basically empty.

A good map design, there are so many animals to fight and tame, the game needs a big grind and takes a long time to finish the game, the early is hard, but you'll get it, be patient to learn and endure.

After a long time waiting for its release, Smalland: Survive the Wilds proves to be much more than that Grounded with fairies that many of us thought it would be in its beginnings. A survival adventure that guarantees fun for groups of friends and lone wolves alike.

Even with it being a game that normally doesn't draw me in Smalland manages to activate something other games like it couldn't, getting me to have fun solo in a survival crafting game. Smalland's sense of detail and scale to the world had me always wanting to see what was around the corner. That being said, if you are looking for something that will test your combat skills or is a game that is deeper than just survive and craft, then Smalland might not be something that holds your attention for long. However, if you're looking for a low intensive game that will allow you to turn off the world and explore, then Smalland is a perfect game to get lost in.
