Sanabi is a secret masterpiece. I don't know why it's a secret, but it is. It's a platforming clinic, with extremely tight controls, and the story hit me in the center of my heart. You'll probably play it one more time to speed run it, but I wont. Some games are better left one and done. This is one of those games. Unbelievable.

Sanabi is one of those (very) few action platform games which apply almost all of its focus to the story and characters. As such, its main draw is its plot, which thankfully is quite interesting and well written, holding the whole experience to the end. On the other hand, its gameplay, though well made, is lacking in terms of challenge and in the sense of moveset and abilities progress.

A classic action platform game, the story is good, and the quality of the story gets even better as the game progresses. The art design also beautifully reflects the universe. The music and gameplay are passable. If you want a game that embodies the saying “fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” this is exactly what you're looking for.

Riding that 2D renaissance wave, SANABI is another neon-soaked platformer that deserves a look at. Gorgeous pixel visuals, fast-paced gameplay and a cracking soundtrack, there’s something for old-school fans and newcomers alike.

A unique title depicting cyberpunk in a Korean style. Utilizing chain arms for wire action, which is not easily found in other 2D platformer games, and featuring a touching story that concludes in a single episode make it stand out. However, it's somewhat disappointing that the combat becomes more monotonous as the game progresses.

Sanabi is heavier-handed than the general’s chain arm, but anyone taking in by its sense of style will find plenty more where that came from, grappling through yet another video game Neo-Tokyo.

On the surface this may look like a generic platformer with grapling hook but make no mistake this game is the perfect example of storytelling. The story in this game is ABSOLUTE CINEMA (and it also made me cry). ngl this game is very story focus but if you wanna skip the cutscenes and only play the game, you can. Now gameplay is also fun. You will be wanting more everytime you complete a section. It is easy to learn but hard to master. After beating the game you'll be able to speedrun the game. Also one thing this game has similar vibes with Katana ZERO. But it is way different in its own term. You'll enjoy this game more if you love storytelling and you go in blind. Try it. IT IS WORTH YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME.

Pretty solid gameplay with an unfortunate amount of meandering dialogue. The plot and setting seem really interesting - except the plot is buried under so many unnecessary and drawn out cutscenes that I had to stop playing it. Still probably my GOTY for 2023 releases.

This is a shame because it could have been great, but it’s ended up slightly less than ok. We’re all used to grappling hooks in games, but although the hook is the core mechanic here it doesn’t feel satisfying to use. But worst of all is that when you die, unlike most other games where you respawn instantly, you’re waiting almost 10 seconds on a loading screen here. Unfortunately this has put me off continuing with the game.
