Rebuild is almost single-handedly the creation of indie developer Sarah Northway, who has iterated it from a web game to an iPhone game, enlisting some nifty comic book cutscene art and a darkly unsettling score from talented contributors. It still hangs frequently on my iPhone, but thanks to the autosave, I've never lost any progress. Like Pandemic, this is one of those games too good to stay a free web-based Flash game. And like Atom Zombie Smasher, this is an example of how zombie mythology has a lot more to offer videogaming than chainsaws and horde modes.

Rebuild probably won't satisfy fans of intensely deep strategy, but for anyone interested in a few hours of light strategy fun, it's quite the catch.

Rebuild started life as a flash game, and can still be played in browser. I will say, though, that they did a great job of translating the game to the touch screen, and it's a much better experience there. Rebuild isn't especially deep or long winded, but it's pretty engaging and will easily provide zombie fans with a taste for simulation a satisfying experience.

Rebuild is a fresh entry in the zombie genre letting you play from a top down city planning perspective. Random cities with a lot of variation give each play trough some new challenges. A part of me would still like to see a campaign mode, and I keep my fingers crossed for a Rebuild 2 in the future.

If anyone reading this likes games with a focus on micromanagement, and either loves or doesn't mind the inclusion of zombies, I'd urge them to buy Rebuild right away.

If you've often wondered how you'd fare against the undead when things really hit the fan, Rebuild will give you the answer.

While its resource-management gameplay won't be for everyone, there's a pleasant rhythm to Rebuild that makes it difficult to put down.

Rebuild is a fascinating game that incarnates in this app the formula of the famous web based game. Despite its heart and the well balanced gameplay components Rebuild lacks in graphics, being sometimes a pain for the eyes.
