the writing is childlike, overly complex, and redundant. very lacking in voice acting, unit responses or sound effects, i have to keep clicking exactly on continue through paragraphs of text that literally do not matter and would have been explained through visual context. it feels like if the dialogue was not written by generative ai, then the person writing it is either very young or not a native english speaker. if there is only one option i can click, any button should proceed to the next box. i stopped playing this very fast, because it just showed too many signs of undercooked design too early on for me to want to invest any time into it. honestly: just let us move with wasd, there's nothing interesting added to the game by forcing us to enter commands one by one, and especially not when 90% of that mechanic thus far has just been me using the input for "forwards" ad infinitum. i just feel like this one is being review bombed and i don't like seeing that, so i am giving it a negative score.

I really liked the gameplay as it isdifferent from the puzzle games I've played before. Too easy for me though.

Unique game with a rinse and repeat mechanic. The puzzles are interesting and not set in stone so every time you see them the solve could be different. Physics can put your position somewhere new so it isn't as simple as copying other players or remembering exact inputs. I think this makes the game pretty fun. Another core aspect to the experience of this game is the atmosphere, art, and story. No spoilers but the choices you make matter in how the story plays out, so choose wisely. Between this and the unique puzzles, if you really enjoy the game, there is definitely some replay value here. And the visuals are appealing enough, that you may want to see everything!

storyline is too good. gameplay wise, would not be for everyone but it makes you use your thinking cap. def a memorable game for me.

It’s not always straightforward, sometimes you’ll feel lost or unsure where to go, but that’s also part of what makes it unique. The Cold War bunker atmosphere is heavy and immersive, and it fits well with the trial-and-error style of gameplay. That said, a few rough edges remain: some bugs, optimization issues, and a lack of guidance that might frustrate players who prefer clearer direction. Even with its flaws, NODE delivers an experience that feels different from most puzzle platformers. If you’re patient and enjoy slow-burn games that reward experimentation, it’s worth checking out.
