Nether has a lot of potential to be a great game, but unfortunately it suffers from odd design choices that make the gameplay experience an exercise in repeat frustration.

The core of Nether – what it IS – hasn’t changed. It’s a game that requires your tender, loving care. It’s a seed; a seed with the potential to bloom into something beautiful and magnificent if you’re willing to get the right tools and put in all that work.

Online shooter of average quality that doesn't feel like it's finished yet.

This game go so panned by players. I hate FPS, and I love Nether. Its frustrating to die, but man that's what makes my heart pump. No other game freaks me out like this one. What matter to me replay-ability and I get that time and time again with Nether. I f'cking love this game. I wish there was more support for it.

Fillmore44 I have been playing Nether since early December, 2013, and currently have logged more than 1200 hours in the game. Through the evolution of the beta version there was great transition and tribulation. Many players were dissuaded by the lack of support in curbing hackers from entering the game and putting regular players at a disadvantage. The outcry to curb the hacking and cheats fell on deaf ears and to this day the practice exists openly in the game with some players boasting about their hacks to the game. Many of us urged the developers to create a version where you were not killing other players, but focusing on the Nether only. The game did morph into a split version, one PVP and one PVE. There is a third game possibility called Last Man Standing which was an attempt to allow players to challenge other players in a version of "Who is the better killer." Over time the development company has apparently sold the rights to the game to a third party, who in turn have failed even basic maintenance and have made no effort to enhance the game. Thus the number of players have dwindled significantly. Logging into the PVE servers is a major problem as many of us cannot connect to those servers. The Nether support is quite the joke. The web page technical support is blocked by IE 11 and Mozilla Firefox as unsafe. Forum discussions go unnoticed and basic upkeep of the game functions is lacking in almost all respects. Occasionally they will reset a server and things will work for short periods of time before dwindling into glitched Nether characters and lack of collectible assets. It is sad to see a game that was running upwards of two dozen servers to now having only a few and only a handful of diehard players, of which I consider myself one.

Garbage. Can't get the basic things right. Just trying to create an account and start the game is a nightmare. The site is hot garbage and they don't respond to tickets days after submission. Don't waste your money.

All in all, Nether is a great time. It’s a highly engaging and realized survival experience; something we need more of.

Nether is noticeably unfinished, and has a lot of work ahead before it resembles a solid game. But it has a discernible spark of life. There is potential for it to become a game worthy of attention. The environment it presents is huge, and the grayed-out portions of the map serve to tease you with even more areas to explore, and stories to create, in its bleak, abysmal, yet interesting world. If only it can learn to stop tripping over its own feet.

Nether is an interesting multiplayer survival FPS that lacks a bit of ambition.

With effort, dedication, and a painstaking amount of man hours, it is plain to see that Nether could become a game to rival the likes of DayZ and Rust. As it stands, I cannot suggest this game to anyone looking for a unique survival experience.

Nether is a game of Wonder and Exploring. Most points the game exceed you to make life changing decisions.(in game way!) You can team up and fight for your life. Or go alone fighting your darkest fears. I'm a big fan of DayZ, so as soon as i saw yet another survival open world game i decided to buy it. This game kept me occupied for hours trying to get gear and defeat the nightmares surrounding me. This game isn't as amazing as DayZ but it has potential! There are some problems throughout this game though. For example As soon as you spawn you either get killed by Over Powered Player or monster. Also This game is for experienced Survivalists. Because as soon as you spawn in you get killed by other players. But overall i've enjoyed this game and i believe it has great potential!

I bought Nether relatively recently, and I've been playing it a lot. The gameplay is a fun and interestingly new take on the average zombie apocalypse game, but it lacks a few important features **** game. It's pretty unstable, and often the main menu takes minutes to unfreeze to the point of usability, and collisions are pretty messed up. That said, I've being playing with a friend, and it's been one of the most enjoyable games for us to play together. It encourages teamwork and is difficult enough that achieving your goals actually feels like it's worth something. Overall, the gameplay is fun and engaging, and if the devs can get their **** together and fix the major bugs it would easily be the best post-apocalyptic game I've played.

What can I say that has not already been said? The game is still a mess, the dev's continue to be dishonest and deaf to its player base. And over a year and a half after picking it up, I don't see it getting better enough to even keep it on my hard drive. I might revisit the game if they ever get it to live up to half its potential. But until then I will rate it honestly, This game IS NOT a 10 or a 9 nor is it a 0 or a 1. It is what it is, and I just cant recommend this to anyone. But instead of having a post deleted for just mentioning any real complaints I or anyone might have with the game. I will just move on.

While it´s fun to survive and scacange and the map is big and immersive, the lack off music makes it a dull experience. Also Hackers are EVERYWHERE and everytime I got good gear I got shot through walls or was shot while figthing the PVE enemies. Basicly you loose all your gear when you die and your levels are reset (though quickly earned) which makes is very newbie unfriendly. I dislike the hardcore PVP part, being camped at safezones, and the game REWARDS killing other players- NOT WORTH 30$ - Ingame micro transactions is totally lame when you loose what you buy. Avoid unless sadistic PVP player or troll hacker scum.
SummaryIn Nether, players are thrust into a decimated, post-apocalyptic city where the remaining human population has degenerated into a chaotic state of lawlessness. A pervasive sense of evil looms over the land as people struggle to survive and rumors circulate of vile, demonic creatures that roam the cities to claim any souls still living. A... Read More
