Mythic Ocean
Mythic Ocean is a fun little adventure with a strong narrative and memorable characters, but it ends before it has a chance to really leave an impact on you.
By stripping away most of the unnecessary bits of a bloated RPG—combat, leveling up, and customising your character—Mythic Ocean distills the narrative features of these games into a series of thoughtful conversations with a likeable cast, while revealing something much more profound: the philosophies and idiosyncrasies that dictate our human condition.
Mythic Ocean is a beautiful and unpredictable game, with a stunning ocean-floor setting and a gentle yet thought-provoking narrative.

Not bad for an easy relaxing game. It is very simple, you talk to characters then go and find other characters.

While most of the people I know out there are constantly clamoring for the latest adrenaline-fueled shooter, fighter, or action game of some sort, believe it or not there are people who don’t only enjoy a slower pace, but prefer it. Mythic Ocean is a title aimed directly at that crowd, placing an emphasis on exploration and experimentation in who you talk to and the conversations you have with various gods in a variety of underwater environments. It does struggle a bit in terms of providing you with much direction but as you use your sonar to spot creatures to talk to you’ll work it out quickly enough. With full runs consisting of only a handful of hours the emphasis here is on tackling each time through in a different way in order to affect different outcomes. It won’t be for everyone but if you’re looking for something more serene and thoughtful than average it’s worth a look. ****/2021/07/mini-reviews-july-2nd-edition-nintendo.html

Mythic Ocean Cute and Calming Mythic Ocean is a 3 and a half hour long adventure game, you’ve lost your memories, this eel tells you to go explore, find and talk to these gods, so you do just that, you explore this tiny ocean floor, talk to sea horses and dolphins, find each areas god, they’ll usually have an issue that requires you to find and talk to the other gods, so youll do a lot of fast traveling back and forth, talking to this one, choosing the right dialogs to get them to help the previous god and solve their issues, its really a nice calming game, there isn’t much else to it… you swim around, talk to fish, there are no puzzles, there are some hidden pages for this book for oyu to find that you can use to help sway th outcome of th story though… as there are multiple endings, one of the gods gets to become the new creator and start a new world.. but I was surprised how much I enjoyed just relaxing and how calming this game was, any sort of anxieties were calmed as the fish would talk to me and I would talk to them through their problems.. Mythic Ocean wont blow you away, there are no crazy cinematics and I didn’t really ejnoy the story going on, But this was a special experience, one more about hey, relax and meet some new friends, hear their stories, and push them on a right path to their happiness. I give Mythic Ocean a 6.5/10

Because of the way choices affect the outcome of the story, Mythic Ocean is highly replayable. This narrative-style game is excellent for fans of immersive visual novels, or those who enjoy the risk of choices impacting gameplay. Mythic Ocean is a high-stakes game without the need for combat or skill-trees to help players become invested in the world, and despite the issues with controls, is an engaging and magical adventure.

Mythic Ocean is a charming and unique experience where you explore an exotic ocean and guide the gods to become better people. It is an utterly immersive audiovisual experience while it lasts, though some tedious gameplay elements and not-so-profound endings make the game less replayable than it wants to be.

Mythic Ocean is a choice based visual story game. With 3-5 hours per run, you build relationships with Gods in order to choose which God can create a new world. It is up to you how the world plays out based on your choice of interactions with each God. It is not a game that punishes you with any danger, and brings a relaxing explorative tone to the player – but it is a hands off experience. Sometimes this is at its own detriment, with no cues or indications of what to do at times which can lead the player swimming in circles. This game is short and sweet, but does try to make the most of a lot of potential it has.
