Don't bother with this trash ****. I bought it for 8 dollars and even at that low price I feel like I got scammed. I was bored 10 minutes in and the quality of the game is atrocious.

At a sale price, this game is a solid, replayable action platformer. I wouldn't recommend it at full price, but anywhere from $10 to $20? You get a solid action game with some charm.

A very charming adventure reminiscent of the first PlayStation platformers... In both the good and the bad things. Monkey King: Hero Is Back captures the essence of the film it is based on, and although it is not revolutionary, it manages to be fun until the very end.

It is an absolute delight to see a game with so much charm. Everything is reminiscent **** of the PS2 era, but it is very refined and obviously has better graphics. The combat is fun and it's just a blast to play through the lush environments, listen to the relaxing music and try to find all the secrets. This game took me by surprise and I can't praise it enough. I wish we could get more games like this.

Monkey King: Hero is Back doesn't present a challenge nor an interesting story, it's a game for younger players who want to punch monsters in the face, although the high price point compared to its content doesn’t help as well.

I do love the game art design, full of ancient oriental culture elements. The little boy is pretty cute. It's happy to see a Chinese IP has been gamelized into console and PC game, with the tight fight system. I'll strongly recommend to my friends!

If your intention is to give this game to your kid or just a younger sibling, go ahead. This game is great for them and I bet I would have loved every pixel of it 20 years ago. Now, for a broader audience, for an adequate price, I would still recommend the game. Even though the combat is a little easy for an avid gamer, it's decent enough and Monkey’s adventure has a ton of charm.
