The Wizards: Enhanced Edition8
Nov 20, 2020
You do hand gestures to summon fireballs, magic arrows, and death rays. Do I need to say anything more to sell you on the game? Even though it certainly comes from a humble studio and there’s some stuff that could have been polished, this is one of the PSVR games I recommend the most.

Bandit Six: Combined Arms4
Nov 20, 2020
Very simple turret section you’d find in any run-of-the-mill FPS that has been expanded until becoming a very barebones standalone game. Skippable.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order8
Nov 20, 2020
The game looks great, it plays great, and also has a decent story to follow through. If it wasn’t for the blatant “trend riding” that made them shove in Souls-like mechanics to a game that doesn’t need them, I would gladly put this game among the top 3 games of last year. As it stands, however, this is still a great game even with one dumb flaw. If you’re a fan of modern action/adventure titles and especially a Star Wars fan, you’ll love your time with the game.

War Tech Fighters6
Nov 20, 2020
War Tech Fighters isn’t a must-have. It’s a lower budget effort with many flaws but that manages to be very competent at what matters the most in a game of this type. It’s very bombastic, it is fun to play and it has a healthy dose of cheese to top it all off. For the reduced price you can find it nowadays, it is a good investment of your time and money but it is still far from being the best example **** in this genre.

Dusk Diver8
Nov 20, 2020
Being a niche product, it couldn’t be given a triple-A budget and it shows in its humble scope and the dodgy localization. But the solid gameplay foundation and its charming characters won me over. Both fans of beat 'em ups and JRPGs should have quite a good time with Dusk Diver. Yes, it falls on the short side but for the price you’ll find it nowadays, it should be a good investment.

Monkey King: Hero is Back7
Nov 20, 2020
If your intention is to give this game to your kid or just a younger sibling, go ahead. This game is great for them and I bet I would have loved every pixel of it 20 years ago. Now, for a broader audience, for an adequate price, I would still recommend the game. Even though the combat is a little easy for an avid gamer, it's decent enough and Monkey’s adventure has a ton of charm.

Oninaki8
Nov 20, 2020
I really enjoyed my time with this little JRPG. So much so that I kind of wish they would have been more ambitious with it and turned it into a full-fledged AAA release because the story and the world here definitely deserves so. What we got, however, is a humble retro throwback that is great fun and memorable on its own and, because of it, I still fully recommend it to fans of classic JRPGs.

Dragon Quest Builders 29
Nov 20, 2020
This is one of those games that give you a ton of entertainment hours with its campaign and, if invested enough, thanks to the endgame content and the creative nature of its gameplay, you could play it forever. In the end, that’s why I enjoyed my time with the original Dragon Quest Builders and, this sequel I just find it a better game in pretty much every way. The story, variety, RPG elements...

Streets of Rage 49
Nov 20, 2020
If you’re a fan of the classic Streets of Rage games, you’re really going to love this. The music isn’t as iconic as it used to be but, gameplay-wise this game is a total winner. There’s quite a bit of meat in this package and loads of references to the classic titles that’ll make you feel warm inside.

Blasphemous8
Nov 20, 2020
As someone without that much interest in these tough-as-nails games, I’ll admit that the game frustrated me a couple of times but, overall, even I enjoyed Blasphemous deeply thanks to its tight mechanics and enticing world-building.

Journey to the Savage Planet8
Nov 20, 2020
This game was over quick yes but I had a blast playing it. It has charm, it has humor, and a satisfying gameplay core. Exploring ARY-26 and discovering all of its secrets was very fun and I will remember moments of it for years even if its campaign only lasted me a single weekend. If a funny version of Metroid Prime looks like a great idea to you or you’re a fan of cooperative multiplayer, this game is especially recommended.

Truck Driver5
Nov 20, 2020
I walked off this game with the impression that Truck Driver is the game you’d try to see if you’d enjoy a game like ETS2. Like putting your tiptoes into a pool to see if you can handle the water’s temperature. It is more accessible and easier. Jobs don’t get as boring with much shorter journeys and the different stories give the campaign some extra spice to make the experience richer for newcomers. That would make the game recommendable for those willing to get into simulators but, then, there’s the issue of the bugs. There are a million different ones so, even though the game has gotten patched quite often since the game released, Truck Driver, in my opinion, is still not in a “recommendable” state.

Horizon Chase Turbo8
Nov 20, 2020
Fast, tight, and intense. I’m not really nostalgic for the racing games Horizon Chase Turbo is paying homage to and even myself ended up enjoying this little title deeply. If you’re a fan of simple arcade racing no matter the era, you’ll have a blast with this quirky racer.

MediEvil8
Nov 20, 2020
This remake of the 1998 classic is faithful to a fault. Other than the gorgeous new graphics, the game is basically the same. That translates to the controls feeling kind of outdated for today’s standards but, as a fan of the classic, this was a nostalgic dream.

The Last of Us Part II10
Nov 20, 2020
Naughty Dog has been more bold and brutal than ever and has told a story that is as thrilling as hard to swallow. Other than that, the game just oozes quality in pretty much every aspect. It’s lengthy, it’s polished, it’s gorgeous to look and listen to. Masterpiece.

Knack 27

Decent mascot platformer for a younger audience. Solid gameplay, colorful graphics… if only the story side of things were up to par, then I could also recommend it to older players too.

Judgment8
Nov 20, 2020
This game is basically Yakuza but with different characters and that’s actually great. The new detective-like activities were a good change of pace and I loved the new protagonist’s character and fighting style. The framerate on base PS4 could be better though.

The Inpatient4
Nov 20, 2020
I’m not opposed to heavy-narrative-focused games, walking simulators, or any other name you want to throw at them. I like the good ones though and this isn’t one of them. Ps: Jump scares in VR should be illegal.

Gravity Rush 29
Nov 20, 2020
An open-world gravity heroine simulator that is just how a sequel should be. Bigger and better, it has all the good of the first and then some. This game not being a commercial success is the most unfair thing to ever happen to video games.

Ghost of Tsushima9

Open world samurai simulator made right. It is as cool as it sounds and then some. It also has one of the best photo modes to date, I couldn’t stop taking pictures.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise7
Nov 20, 2020
I’m a great fan of the Yakuza franchise so I actually enjoyed my time with this game but, if I have to rate it within the whole series, this is clearly the worst game of all. It is a fun gory game but it’s also clearly half-assed.

Erica7
Nov 20, 2020
Intriguing FMV adventure with a pretty unique touch-centered control scheme. If you’re a fan of narrative-driven “choose your own adventure” type of games. For what it’s worth, Erica is not a bad option. The game would be more replayable with a proper chapter select though.

Nov 20, 2020
If you ever had the “dream” to create your own video games and have people play it, that dream is now a reality on PS4. In here, everything you can think of can be made and thanks to the massive community of talented people already in it, this game is endless.

Blood & Truth9
Nov 20, 2020
At its core, this isn’t much more than a glorified on-rails shooter but what a shooter this is. Superb set-pieces, tight controls, gorgeous graphics, kickass soundtrack… If you're a fan of the classic arcade light gun games and gangster flicks, this is a total must-have.

Amazing 3D platformer not just for PSVR but as a whole. Great controls, level design, cute graphics, fun boss fights, and also a magnificent VR integration. It hits all marks.
