I remember playing this years ago. I actually had some hope in mobile gaming back them. The game was nice. Ok campaign, nice multiplayer. Then, it changed a lot to survive in the market. Unfortunately, it killed him. But yeah, i have a lot of nice memories from the good times.

The plays great! However, all the adds, stalling to encourage purchases just takes the life out of the game. I uninstalled it, but really liked it!. Hell, just charge me $30-$40 all at once, or so much a month, and let me play.

It was shaping up to be yet another entry. Nothing amazing but still entertaining. However the singleplayer campaign had far too much filler between sections. It's a nice game in itself, but some of it felt like I was just grinding to get to the next story level. The style of previous incarnations may not have been original with one level after the next, but it worked a whole lot better.

Modern Combat 5 is probably one of the best FPS games for iOS, but that doesn't make up for its flaws. With constant crashes, the game is frustrating at times, which really makes things just bad. For progression in this game, its one of the hardest things to do without spending too much. The energy system forces you to stop playing every 10 minutes, then has you wait for 30 more to reach full recharge. To add on, the requirements for chapters to be unlocked are very difficult to fulfill. To me, the dev's Modern Combat 5 has done everything right, but just ruined the game for the sake of you emptying your wallet.

This game is recommended, because it uses great weapons and maps to fulfill the game. The game is free, which makes me want to rate this 10/10. This is not even basic, it is an advanced game!

A great shooter with a good variety of weapons and missions. Gameplay is solid and the multiplayer plays well. MC5 lose points because of a limited number of maps.

It is not the best FPS i ever played, but it costs 4€ (about 4$) so it is VERY cheap. Other games (FPS) costs like 60$. So this is 15 times cheaper! And there are not many mobile shooters, so this is one of the best. And yes story may be boring (and you will not understand the beginning if you havent played modern combat 4), but others fps stories are just the same! So this is pretty good game. If it was on pc or console i would give it 6 or 7, but because it is one of the only fps on mobile i give it a 9.

its best game I can play on tablet, but finished very fast all levels and then it just ends. multiplayer very often no other players and a lot of disruption, servers are too often overloaded too. some bugs too, I cant use knife. hoping for more levels. you get very fast bored with the bots. lost interest very fast :-(

Not even good. Don't waste your money. Play MC4/3. **** many people waiting for it. Took so long, I was simply expecting something decent. Sooooo didn't live up to expectations..... ;(

If this was a console or PC game it would have gotten a 4. Which is the score I'm giving it. Shame on the reviewers for giving this game a pass. It's 2014, first person shooters on the iPad is no longer a spectacular concept like it was in 2009 or so. Now for the review CONS - a horrible, simplistic, and generic storyline to the point of hilarity coupled with bad and fragmented level designs, poor AI, brain dead characters. Always online required with each level having to be loaded which can take a while. You also have you complete tutorial like "black ops" missions that has nothing to do with the storyline whatsoever in order to advance. This is truly a backwards step for the already cheapened MC franchise. PROS - something to do.

With Fps like Destiny,Far Cry 4,CoD Advanced Warfare,Halo:The Master Chief's Collection and Metro:Redux in the final of the years on new-gen consoles,how wants to play this?!

Awesome game, totally lives up to the hype. The controls are smooth for a FPS and the changes to multiplayer are great. I know that the always online requirement has some people angry but I personally love it cuz I can level up through campaign and multiplayer. Totally recommend this game for anyone who likes FPS or games in general. The graphics are mind blowing but it's a blast to play as well. U can customs anything to fit your style of play. Pick this up, no iap as well!

An excellent fps for mobile. I was afraid that that modern combat 5 would be not able to live up to the **** was i wrong the graphics are absolutely stunning and are starting to resemble console graphics. Even though you have a been there done that moment you still have alot of fun with the campaign and spec ops missions. As for the multiplayer the game has been altered for a slower style of combat which i really appreciate but dislike at the same time.Having the game running on 30 fps is actually a great move for a mobile game since it is very hard to control the game but you will learn the controls after some time . The Best part of the game is the character customization. There are 4 classes which include Sniper, Assault, Heavy and Recon .Each class has its own benefits and negatives. Having the experience points distributed from single player and multiplayer was a move that i had been waiting for. The reason is in previous modern combat games i was disappointed with not receiving any money for beating the story . Another excellent feature is that the game has absolutely no inapp purchases which is very welcoming as mobile games have been turned into a addictive slot machine that relies on your frustration to triggering you to put your hands in your wallet. The only negatives i have about this game is that the game is always online. This was a terrible decision because mobile games are meant to be played offline and everywhere hence the word "mobile" games, another drawbacks are the frequent crashes and server disconnects. Once Gameloft rectifies this ; this will reach perfection
