Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus sets a high-water benchmark for shooters to come, combining a solid single-player campaign with a lasting and exciting multiplayer that makes this a must have title.

Yesterday I drained my iPod's battery completely while playing online deathmatch games, and the only thing I wanted to do was stick it on the charger so I could hop back in. I just hope you readers are willing to take the $6.99 hit to your wallets and join me.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus is one of the most complete and best games I have ever played on my device, and with such a complete online multiplayer experience and a solid single player mode, I can't see any other game really topping this, atleast for a while.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus provides top notch modern warfare on the go, with a lengthy campaign and a deeply addictive multiplayer mode.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus is an excellent FPS, with nice and accurate controls. The single player campaign is short but pretty intense, while the four online multiplayer modes offer hours and hours of entertainment thanks to the ranking system. Packed with some of the best graphics ever seen on an iPhone, this game definitely rocks. Don't miss it.

It's really not hard for me to say that Modern Combat 2 is my favorite iPhone FPS.

A stellar combination of graphics, entertaining action, and robust multiplayer, Modern Combat 2 is one heck of a shooter.

It's a vast improvement over anything seen on the platform so far in the shooter genre. More importantly, it's an engrossing and enjoyable game.

In story mode, it borrowed heavily from Modern Warfare. Here, it borrows heavily from Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare. It even has the perk system, where you accrue points that unlock new weapons and a host of other power-ups.

Even though it doesn't exactly advance the ball, Modern Combat 2 is Gameloft's best shooter yet.
