Really simple and really fun sports game. The 4 sports and the mini games are all really fun and the tournament mode is legendary.

One of my favourite games in my childhood. I can't remember much but I played it really really often with friends. It is really not bad.

I have very fond memories of this game from when I was younger. It is a great multiplayer experience

I actually really enjoyed this game although the scene where bowser got into a horrible volleyball accident was depressing

This is a really fun game and it's pretty great square included dragon quest and final fantasy characters.

One of my favorite Mario sports games. Every sport is really fun to play, especially dodgeball and basketball. The amount of hidden secrets and characters is insane (in a good way).

It is a great collection of four sports with that signature Mario spin on it, only downsides are only four sports and only 19 characters, but this was before they would put a metallic and baby version of everyone in a Mario spin off

"Mario Sports Mix" is a lesser known Wii sports title, among the countless other Wii games that have to do with sports. Even among the sports games relating to the Mario franchise, such as soccer and baseball, this game did not get as much praise as the aforementioned titles, and for good reason. Now, don't get me wrong, this game is good; it's just not the best. So, allow me to go through the mix here (or, rather, the Sports Mix). The game proudly shows off 4 unique sports you can play as your favorite Mario character in. Now, normally, I'd go though each sport and point out their strengths and weaknesses. However, all 4 of these sports feel so identical that any point made here can easily be said about all of them. I would like to make a note that Basketball is clearly the most advanced of the sports (which isn't saying much since they're all very simple) and Volleyball is the most basic. Every character has their own different statistics and special moves, but they all generally feel and play the same. That said, there's also unlockable skins and secret characters from the "Final Fantasy" and "Dragon Quest" games. These unlockables give a very good reason for entering the Tourney Modes and do prove to be a great challenge for the player. All of the stages (except for Mario Stadium) have their own unique gimmick that's applied to add some spice to the game. Most of the time, these gimmicks are too much of trouble, but some gimmicks (such as Bowser Jr.;s Blvd.) can drastically change the way the sport is played, for better or for worse. However, if you don't like any of these gimmicks, you can always go to Mario Stadium (as mentioned before) if you just want to focus on the sport. Then there's also items, which are some of the same ones from the "Mario Kart" games such as Bananas and Red Shells, which, like the stage gimmicks, also bring more spice to the game. These items are okay to play with, as they're not too distracting from the main game nor are they forgettable. Finally, there's Party Games, which include 4 "Mario Party" style minigames where you're either dodging bombs flying in the air, making music with volleyballs, slapping your opponents with hockey sticks or feeding a giant plant some fruit. These minigames are brief, but are a nice break from the main game. And that's about it. "Mario Sports Mix" is nothing short ****, party-like sports title with the basic Mario roster to play as. While a little bland, it is still fun. However, for a more memorable Mario sports experience on the Wii, I'd definitely look more into either "Mario Strikers Charged" or "Mario Power Tennis". But, if you already own those games, than this isn't a bad one to look into getting!

I don't understand all the mixed reviews this game has, it is actually pretty great. There are four sports available, with several Cups in each. This is of course a game best played with family and/or friends, as playing alone isn't that compelling. But as a party game, it is really fun, and the game does what it intends to do. The controls are tight, responsive and intuitive, and the visuals are bright and colorful - Classic Nintendo-quality in other words. Our favorite is Dodgeball and Hockey, they're the most fast-paced and fun Imo. The game is also quite cheap now, so that makes it even easier to recommend.

This is the second best Mario Sports game. There's tons of multiplayer fun with great single player content and replay value. A great hidden gem for the Wii

This game is one of my favourite games of all time! Every game mode, especially dodgeball, is a great and fun experience. While the lack of games is kind of annoying, the fun and replay ability of each one makes. Quality over quantity is a perfect way o describe Mario sports mix.

Good effort for an average game, exploiting the Mario character once again. A decent 6.

Mario Sports Mix is(in my opinion) a very fun game to play. Whether you are playing a sport in this game as an exhibition or tournament, it's enjoyable for kids and probably adults.

This is my favourite mario sports game, simply because it includes some original sports, my favourite one being dodgeball. The controls are good and the graphics exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend this game.

I really enjoyed this game, all the sports are fun, but volleyball gets a bit boring after a while though. The tournaments are fun, and this game even includes Final Fantasy characters, how cool is that?

This is probably my favorite mario sports game cause it has so much variety and has amazing gameplay! The controls are good but can be flawed and the game is a bit repetitive. But overall I LOVE playing this game!

This game is pretty good. I was surprised. I thought that this game was going to be garbage but it actually isn't. The game consists of 4 sports, basketball, hockey, volleyball, and dodgeball. They are all really fun and enjoyable. Do not play them alone! They are not fun alone. But with friends, oh yeah, you'll have a grand old time. The graphics are good, the music is good, and the gameplay is also good. That's all I can say, this game is just good. Not horrible, not fantastic, but not in the middle. Above average. Good. Try it. With friends.

This game is awesome. One of the best Wii games I've ever played. The graphics are highly detailed and good. The character selection is awesome. Like 4 colours of Yoshi and Toad. The Final Fantasy Characters are okay. The courses and stages are awesome. My favourite would have to be Ghoulish Ghalion where Dry Bones spawns on a ghost ship. The items are awesome. The Sports are awesome but I wish they had Golf and Bowling. The Sports Mix mode is kinda tough. Had a nice story of crystals, and Toad. White Mage kinda reminds me of Rosalina. The controls are awesome with Wii Remote sideways. Mario Sports Mix is a VERY great game and if you don't like Mario Sports Mix, you are silly as JB. I HIGHLY recommend you buy it before prices go CRAZY online like maybe $70 USD New and around $50 used in my estimation, Who knows. It might be better, or it might be wourse. So yeah, good game wourth picking up.

This is a great game. An awesome Mario Sports game. The sports were awesome. The graphics were great for Wii. The controls were good. The character selection is okay. The story mode is good. Mario Sports Mix is an awesome game and you should buy it soon.

Decent enough.Some sports play well, while other, like dodge ball, are terrible!I not joking! Example: Volleyball, in which the ball sometimes do crazy things, and dodge ball is the worst sport.

This game is very fun, never gets boring. However, I do think Nintendo g=could of included more sports and characters, like Rosalina and Boo/King Boo. However, the courts were awesome with fitting music!

The game is pretty fun, but boring on single player. The only fun part about single player is doing the challenges in the tournaments. The mini games are also quite fun single or multi-player. Although there really isn't a lot of good things to unlock in this game since most of the stuff you unlock is either pallet swap characters of alternate outfits which really disappoints me. It does have some replay value and if you want to have the most fun playing this game I suggest playing dodge ball.

This game is quite well done, the graphics have impressed me, I know people don't agree with me, but its impossible for me to hate this game. There is only one (fairly big) problem with this game, difficulty, this game is too easy (except for the behemoths) Overall, 8.4/10

This is a neat little surprise. When I bought this I didn't think it would be as good as it i. Here we actually got 4 fullblown sportsgames basket, hockey, volleyball and dodgeball with cups and all at the the price of one. It reminds me of Mario smash football, a whole lot of fun, beautiful graphics , super animation and rather simple controls. It also has four minigames, unlockable characters and arenas. So this is a very strong package sadly not recieving the right score from the critics. So I will help it a little by giving it a crystal clear 10.

Mario Sports Mix may be pretty fun, but due to the lack of other fun sports, like tennis, baseball, football, and other fun sports, some sports that are somehow not based on actual sports, and lame voice talents, it is a waste of $50. So I gave it to my class, which has a Wii.

You know what they, all mario games are amazing! Mario sports mix has fun addicting multiplayer and amazing gameplay with a game like this it's hard to be dissapointed.

Mario Sports Mix is just, just above average. It's fairly fun, and quite mad, but it's fairly fiddly, and not a patch on Mario Karts multiplayer thrills and spills. The unlocking system is broken too, but one redeeming feature is the awesome Square Enix cast, like the Cactuar and the Mages. Now, this is me being a bit of a fanboy, but Sports Mix saves itself from a lowly 5 just by having these guys. Controversial? Damn straight.

Great multi-player game for fans of Mario games in general. Just don't play it alone, or else you will be bored out of your mind. Also, great for kids.
