Mad Carnage's premise is incredibly unique and has a lot of promise. Unfortunately, the restrictive nature of its story campaign and bland visuals make it not live up to its full potential. Here's hoping we see a much improved sequel sometime down the road.

Mad Carnage has a few things going for it in the form of its movement mechanics and the comic strip-led story sections, but they’re packaged together with an experience that doesn’t do them justice. Everything else is far too basic, and thus it fails at building a cohesive experience that we could recommend.

It's a shame to report that this one's a disappointment. All of the excitement that should have been is replaced by turn-based u-turns, trying to get into a position to shoot the opponent. Avoid.

Mad Carnage is simple enough to get into, which by itself is positive. Thanks to its cartoon art style and lack of technical issues, the game's first impressions are overall positive but unfortunately, this does not stand for too long, as the levels quickly feel repetitive and the gameplay mechanics end up being too simple for its own good, resulting in a game that is more dull than it should be.
