I played this game alot when I was younger, I have strong memories of playing it and decided to look it up again, only to find an incredibly negative reception. The missions were simple, easy to do in groups of four, I enjoyed the fighting, I enjoyed the game and never experienced lag or glitches.
It was a fun game.

I have played this game since 2016, there's no problems with the game, the only problem has nothing to do with the game, it's players not taking any action. If this rating system was like the critics it would be 100/100. The gameplay is excellent, I like the 80 level cap, bosses that are a piece of cake than other games.

Unpolished, sorely lacking in play modes and environments, awkward controls and to cap it all it has lacklustre graphics and audio. On the plus side, trawling dungeons in multiplayer is kinda fun and the game is free to play. Above all there aren't many releases on the Wii U games, particularly for a game of this nature. I would say it's certainly worth a try.

This game is incredibly flawed, of first off the game says do you want to do the tutorial when i choose my first character, i say no and it closes the little pop up and woosh. nothing happens and when i try to reselect them it does the exact same thing meaning for every character i have to wad through a 10 minute tutorial just to try them out. really bad start, whats the game got for fighting! A slow hack an slash with a durability on your melee and a horrifically short amount of smg ammo and bad dodge mechanics; or if you chose mr.call of duty you get a awesome fps (not really) with a one button switch between 5 different guns, of which two of them are useless (the smg and shotgun) and a melee that is extremely weak. This game also supports the kind of players that make me want to hang myself for example, the loot hog. all this player will do is run in circles with the artifact once it appears and do nothing to help fight, even if it is a boss fight they will do nothing but hold onto the damn thing. Because the only one who gets the artifact is the one who brought it to the finish making people do stupid things just to get some loot. Also a small side annoyance is that i cant increase Mr.Call of Duty's first person sensitivity at all, the only thing i can increase is the third person camera which already moves fast enough on like 5 or 6 and it can go all the way to 15 leading me to believe that someone is going to do a challenge run of the hardest area with max sensitivity.

Oh boy, this looked like a pretty nice game when I saw it and played a bit of the tutorial. To those expecting a "Dark Souls clone" because "Namco published it", sorry, but you're kinda wrong for thinking so as Namco didn't make Dark Souls, that was From Software, Namco only published it in the US. Sadly this game is bugged to all hell with it's netcode, waited forever to join a game only to learn that it just wasn't going to happen, so of course I had no choice but to hard power off the console. Sadly the next time I try the game, it just locks up on me when loading gameplay. Good Job Namco, you made a pretty alright looking Victroopers like game, but sadly the netcode is bugged to high hell and now the game is unplayable, my Wii U is probably broken now.

Game is virtually unplayable. Game isn't fun. Why did they make this? Can we get a Dark Souls clone on a Nintendo system please? I don't understand the appeal of this game. The controls are wonky. The graphics are horrible. And the frames stagger constantly. Poor Execution.

Man, I liked this game. It gets really hard above level 15 and you feel the NEED to play with other players (you can always play alone, btw). Initially, the game feels kinda skimpy (but hey, it's a free game) however, as you get some level new scenario options are unlocked, and you can fight even bosses. Oh, controls are easy and responsive, too. Some skills allow for combos and finishers usage. I'd surely recommend this game to anyone owning a Wii U.

Passable solely because of its price. Uninspired, bland, boring, straightforward, mindless, the list goes on. Definitely not worth the download time sadly.

Free-to-play doesn't always equal fun to play. Lost Reavers is about as basic as they come. You just kill stuff and collect relics. The only reward you get from it is leveling up your character(s) and getting new loot. The argument could be made that every multiplayer game is just as simple. Team deathmatch in games like Call of Duty is just running around and shooting people for basically the same rewards. However other multiplayer games make up for their simplistic nature by being fun. Lost Reavers does not. It's a clunky and awkward experience. However it's not due to the controls like many say, but actual combat system itself. The shooting and melee mechanics are stiff, rigid and the combos themselves are as simple as they come. They can be expanded upon as you level up, but that requires continuous play. Once you get a taste of the initial stubby swipes your characters use and how you're just mashing the same button over and over again, it's hard to want to stick around. The shooting isn't much better. Depending on which character you use it's either a first or third-person shooter. With the exception of a lock on system, there's not much reason to use your ranged weapons. A bad thing given that two out of the four characters are gun-oriented. The actual aiming is just as stiff as everything else due to the slow turning camera. To actually make a reticle appear, you have to change camera modes. That only makes things more awkward and even more stiff. If you don't use the other camera mode though, you're left without a reticle and are going to be awkwardly trying to shoot and praying you hit something, rather than actually hitting something. Part of what makes the game look potentially compelling are it's four-playable characters. They're highly detailed as far as their looks go and each have their own strengths and weaknesses in combat. Given that this is a team-based, cooperative multiplayer experience, the characters are pretty important. However despite all of the work that went into their appearances, they have no personality. They might as well just have been faceless avatars. There's nothing to give them any sort of life. No interesting dialog, no story, not even a basic dossier with unimportant facts like height and age hidden in the menus. Nothing to give them, or this game, a personality. They are almost as bland as the enemies they fight. This is a Nintendo game, so personality should be a big part of the experience. Speaking of the enemies. They are generic fodder. Bland in design. Uninteresting to fight. Simplistic in intelligence. Really no fun to kill. Lost Reavers is a game that had a lot of potential and could have been a cool game to check out, especially given it's free-to-play nature. However the developers made an incredibly basic experience that offers only the barest of bones in terms of entertainment value. Mix in the uncomfortable gameplay to pack up the simplicity of design and you've got a game not worth playing. It's just no fun and feels like a ton of wasted potential. There's plenty of room to grow, and maybe the developers could turn it into something interesting one day, but the limited number of people online means that it might not have a big enough following to happen. It's free-to-play, but even at the low, low price of $0.00 the question still remains, why bother? It's bad hack n' slash shooter with no personality and bare bones multiplayer. Not even playing with friend can save this one.

Look out Overwatch there's a new multiplayer game in town and it's on the Wii U. Developed by Bandai Namco comes the free to play exclusive multiplayer game Lost Reavers and boy is it good. The object of the game is to collect relics and level up your character. There are 4 distinct and ethnically diverse characters Sayuri, Victoria, Dwayne, and Shadowstalker all with their own play styles and memorable character traits. One thing that surprised me was how uninstrusive the micro transactions are, you really can just earn everything by playing instead of paying and why wouldn't you when the gameplay is so good? The gameplay in this rivals Bayonetta and DMC with its intuitiveness and variety. The only small downside is how slow the leveling up process is but true gamers won't mind the challenge others however will likely give up at the slight hint of a challenge. Overall this is the game of the year and I'm psyched to see what updates they have planned.

Lost Reavers is a fun game with lacking graphics and need to be refined controls. If you can ignore that, you will have a lot of fun. For a free game, it is not bad. Give it a try, especially the online multiplayer.

This game although not the most packed with content is still very fun to play with friends and online with strangers too. I don't understand the hate on the controls because the controls are just fine. I find some games annoying to play online with other people but this game shouldn't be played any other way. I would highly recommend this game because it is free and fun. Also it's a bonus if you have some friends to play it with.

People are complaining about this being an awful game. No **** oh my god. It's a **** free to play game made by Bandai Namco's new amateur game designers. They wanted to make a game for the Wii U to get the experience and I think this game shows a lot of potential for the new team. The graphics are dated, yes, but now I'm seeing control issues? Hell no. They are extremely smooth. It's worth a try especially since it's free. I'm enjoying it, now download it and see for yourself if you will too.

Boring, meaningless, archaic. This game disappointed me heavily, the controls are horrible, the graphics look dated and it doesn't feel rewarding. The game is free though, so only try if you really want to. I don't think it's worth anyone's time though.
