Little Kitty, Big City is a game I didn’t think I’d enjoy much after a trailer, but I’m glad I got to play it on Steam Deck. It is a perfect game for portable play, and I have almost no major complaints about how it plays on Steam Deck. If you enjoy games like Untitled Goose Game or just want a fun and short interactive adventure, Little Kitty, Big City is for you.
Family-friendly, short urban adventure of a charming cat with simple puzzles and lots of fun feline activities.
More a brief collectathon than a worthwhile adventure, Little Kitty, Big City is a somewhat charming but ultimately forgettable feline trek to get back to taking a nap.

At first I was really engaged. The cat is adorable and while the controls and camera are not super polished, it's functional enought to play and it's fun exploring every corner of the little mini map, doing cat stuff, seeking secret passages, interacting with other animals and completing tasks. However, after an 1 1/2 hour or so, i was starting to realize, that almost every attempt of exploration and activities we do, serves no purpose besides getting cute hats for the cat and they also get really repetitive (get that, collect that, find that...). So about 90% of the game's content is pure cosmetic and what's obligatory to complete, is just find 4 fishes to make the cat strong enough to climb back to it's apartment and can be done very quickly . That's so much waste of potential! Really disappointing.

I really wanted to love this, but the net experience is a mixed bag. First the good, there's a lot of the charm to the world, the animation on the cat is excellent, and breath-of-the-wild decision to let the game end when you are ready to is very respectable. But all of the charm is diminished by (1) the actual movement/controls/platforming, which need a lot more polish, (2) there's no overall goal other than climb back up your apartment building, for that reason there's no motivation to engage with most of the side content, (3) you can't really tell what's the point of all the in-world collectibles. For instance, at first pieces of metal trinkets are important, and you need them to buy a new movement ability from the crow, but then after that metal trinkets seem to be only used for buying hats. This could have been fixed, (1) with more work on the movement, (2) a meta-mystery/plot/issue that is built by each interaction with the NPCs, so you want to keep playing even after you can end the game, and (3) consistent usage of the in-game collectibles.

Little Kitty, Big City sets off to do something simple and does it well, delivering a fantastically cute and charming little cat game where you can do everything you expect a cute kitty to do. Short, sweet, and relaxing, Little Kitty, Big City just might be one of the best games to let out some stress and get up to some adorable kitty hijinks.

There is a special category in my heart for a game that offers a precise and calculated afternoon of good clean fun, and Little Kitty, Big City is an ideal fit for such a thing. The kind of game that you whip out to engage with loved ones who may not be all that close to gaming, to show them that the space is not just gloomy headlines and violence-blaming – it can be full of wonder and innocent charm. If you are a cat lover, you will love this game. Even if you are not, I challenge you to play this game and resist the urge to crack a smile.

Little Kitty, Big City, for all its adorable looks and antics, is not just fluff. Its various and interlocking reward systems, playful and genuine characters’ problems, and endlessly explorable concrete jungle gym make it a worthwhile game.

Screen Rant
Little Kitty, Big City fulfills its feline obligations and then some, offering a beautifully animated adventure packed with appropriate cat-ivities and whimsical, gentle humor. It’s all-ages, elegant, and over much too quickly, but it’s the best of its breed.

IGN
Little Kitty, Big City is an undeniably cozy and mechanically minimal game tailor-made for cat lovers. Its small but inviting sandbox can provide a few hours of ticking objectives off a list before any repetition sets in, allowing this feline adventure to stretch its exploratory legs before wearing out its welcome. Its graphics are cute and delightful, especially for people who just like to watch their pets leap into boxes or trot along when they realize they are not supposed to be in the kitchen. What’s missing are a few layers of polish on its movement and camera controls, which can make climbing around this city more frustrating than it needs to be. And while the campaign may be brief, being a street-level cat discovering the world a few blocks at a time easily holds up across it.

The struggle to portray a vivid world and a sense of place results in the game failing to make much of an emotive impact. Once the credits rolled, there was very little about the experience that stuck with us.

It's a sweet little game. Where Stray was all about visuals, this game actually gives gameplay. It's funny, and if you like cats, you will love this game.

(MY SCORE : 7.5 /10) This Adventure Game with the Main Character Black Cat is intended for Casual Gamers because it is quite easy even though we need Exploration to get the **** actual main mission in this game is the Black Cat who accidentally fell from his master's house, trying to find his way back to his master's residence which is in a high place. And to reach that place, he needed the strength to climb, and he managed to do this with the guidance of a crow! I'll play this game in 35 minutes!

Fun game, but not worth the pricetag. At best, this game would be worthwhile at $15 OR LESS. With that said., it's a fantastic little game. Fun character to play as, fun stuff to do as a cat, cute secondary characters and collectibles to grab. Unfortunately, it's SHOCKINGLY short. I beat it and completed 100% of the achievements in a SINGLE NIGHT. Less than 5 hours. There are far better games to spend $25-35 on, but this ain't it. My verdict? Wait for it to be on sale. Bare minimum, less than $15. No more.
