It's a gacha game. It's a great game, great OST, great story, great characters and great worldbuilding. Though the gameplay is very mediocre due to it being well, a gacha game.

i am on Canto 5 as of writing this and oh my goodness. this game has taken over my life it is THAT good. i will admit, the first 2 cantos have a bit of a slow start, but once it gets going, it is a masterpiece. all the characters are amazingly written and enjoyable. the soundtrack is beautiful, the gameplay is fun.

A great ost, a very interesting gameplay and a light grinding system, this game takes you easily at the start and then strucks you to at least 3 story walls, it makes you read, at the same times the entire game is "Press This Button To Win", a weird mix between Graphic Novel where you do nothing and a RPG that plays itself except when it doesn't. The worldbuilding it's awesome, where hell itself is safer than the inferno the city is.

Added gacha system for what it should haven been a $15 game.Devs intentionally changed the battle in patches so they can charge more to the players for "higher difficulty".

faboulous story with incredible good music this game deserves A LOT more than it has now. the only aspect that is not good is that lunacy costs a lot. but its pretty easy to farm so is absolutely forgivable. i will never stop to say thank you to mili to do all the bosses musics so good like compass, through patches of violets and hero

Limbus company is a turn-based Gacha Game where the player builds a team using the IDs of the 12 sinners (While there are actually 13 sinners, only 12 of them are used in combat while the 13th is Dante, and takes the role of the manager, commanding the battles as the player rather than participating in the battles like the other 12.) IDs themselves serve as the different units you use, these Ids are "Mirror World" Versions of the sinners, and can range from the sinners in a specific group (Like a syndicate or association), to the sinners taking the role of a specific character from the story. As previously mentioned, Limbus Company is a Gacha game. Normally I dislike Gacha games, however, Limbus Company is one of the few that I enjoy, specifically because Limbus Company is a Gacha game where the Gacha is actually worse than the free-to-play way of gaining characters. Rather than pulling on banners to gain IDs, you can choose to grind in "Mirror Dungeons", which is a roguelike section where you can repeatedly run a randomized dungeon multiple times which allows you to gain "EGO shard crates" to create the specific ID you want. Because of this, not only can you guarantee which ID you get, but you also can get the ID without spending any money, or any of the in-game currency. While I do love the game, there are a few issues I'd like to mention before I talk about the combat and story, that being the main issues with both things. In LC the tutorial does very little to teach the player how the combat actually works, for better or worse, it essentially tells the player to match colors like candy-crush or other such a games without explaining anything deeper, like status effects or passives. As if this wasn't bad enough, many of the more recently released IDs (Many as in almost all of them), have paragraphs of text for their skill descriptions, which for a new player is incredibly off-putting as well as difficult to understand. As for the story, while LC does have an amazing story, it suffers from something many Gacha's do, having a bad story until halfway through the game. Now, In LC's case it's only the first 3 or so cantos (Out of the 8 currently released), so it isnt exactly halfway, but the point still stands. The larger issue however is that the story feels extremely long when playing through the game, despite not being that long. Part of this is because you're reading piles of text rather than watching a cutscene. The combat in Limbus Company does initially seem simple, you drag your curser over a dashboard with the various skills of your deployed sinners (The number of sinners that may be deployed at once changes from canto to canto, but currently the max is 7) to select your skills then match the sin affinities (Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Gloom, Sloth and Envy) and make sure the clash value is higher than the enemies. But upon finishing the tutorial and looking at the units it's quickly revealed that the combat is much more complex then it looks. To start, there are status effects, these are typically divided up by Potency and Count, for the different status effects these can do different things, for burn one makes it do more damage while the other makes it last more turns. after that there are conditionals (Requirements a unit must meet for specific effects to activate on their skills), for some abilities this is simple, something like: "If (Status Effect) is 5+, gain 1 clash power up), but for other abilities it can be multiple sentences. As for the story, as I mentioned earlier it's pretty bad up to canto 3, this is partially because the first 2 cantos are spent on world building, which assuming you didn't play the previous games or read the literature (Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Wonderlabs, Distortion Detective, & Leviathan) you wouldn't have context for the dystopian world the game takes place in, and though I heavily suggest that anyone who enjoys the Project Moon world and wants to fully experience it, should play the previous games etc. but since the other games cost money while LC is free, I entirely understand why someone might not. Regardless, the story of LC follows Dante and the other 12 sinners, a total of 13 sinners. Dante is an amnesiac (Which is suprisingly common for main characters) and acts as the "Executive manager" for the other 12 sinners. Each Canto follows a specific Sinners past and issues, while the first 2 don't do the best on confronting them (Again, very beginning of the game), the later cantos do an amazing job of having the sinners confront their pasts and overcome them. With everything said, it's a game that I truly enjoy and it's difficult for me to admit that it has problems, but of course, nothing is perfect in the end. Since the game is free anyways, I absolutely believe everyone should try the game if they have the chance.

Limbus company is a game that takes full advantage of the comprehensive universe set up by the other games made by Project Moon, 'Library of Ruina' and 'Lobotomy Corporation'. The combat retains much of the engaging factor of their previous games, and the gacha mechanics are seamlessly interwoven into the core gameplay and lore of the game. There are a few longstanding issues, such as PM's unwillingness to properly teach mechanics to the player, but if you can move past the first few hours, the rich story (most of which are based on famous literary works such as 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Moby ****') and immersive gameplay make this, in my opinion, one of the best games of all time.

Absolutely amazing for those who are a fan of the series. A heavily philosophical game, utilising its characters to retell great literary stories throughout history through the lens of the dark "cyberpunk" world, The City, of which Project Moon is known for.

This game is unironically one of the best pieces of fiction I have ever had the pleasure to experience. That's all, There isn't much more to say without spoiling the entire Project Moon Universe Lore, please just go play it.

the game is good the controversy is bad and people just needed to keep their mouths shut and nothing would have happened.

The gameplay is fun, the story is excellent (esp if you are attracted by the worldbuilding of previous game Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina), the characters are charming, and one can grind resource if one does not want to pay real money for gacha. What is lacking is maybe the game contents are not rolled out fast enough and insufficient tutorials for the game mechanics. Still a 9 out of 10 for me

For me, Limbus Company is the very game. The developers have added gameplay. The scriptwriters wrote the plot. The graphics are visible. And even critics have not rated this game. A really high-quality gameplay-containing product. Definitely one of the games ever created! P. S. I love you Vergilius, please rate our Sinclair posting in the vk group.

Limbus company attempts to re-hash the strategic and deep combat found in Library of Ruina for a mobile gacha, but has failed to preserve what made this combat system so complex and engaging back in Library of Ruina. The amount of agency that a player has in combats is very low, and the sanity and stagger system both make the individual fights much shorter than normal. Often, fights are won or lost in a matter of 2-3 turns, with the player's inputs not really affecting the outcome. In addition, the free-to-play new player experience is miserable, since the amount of options given to the new player is very limited. All of this combined with the Project moon tradition of incomprehensible UI and a lack of real effort in creating good tutorials will make this game nigh-impossible to get into for anyone unfamiliar with project moon's previous works, and a let-down for long-term fans who want to experience more of Library of Ruina's deep and engaging combat.
