Jelly Defense injects a much needed dose of fresh gameplay in to a genre that is far too often parroted without much deviation; just don't expect to knab perfect completions regularly - they're a true challenge for many levels (and that's not such a bad thing).

But it's still surprising how well Jelly Defense runs. It's as smooth as butter, even when the action gets intense.

Jelly defense could be considered a classic Tower Defense, although there are a few original elements. Fans of the genre should check it out.

As tower defense games go, Jelly Defense starts out with the potential to be one of the greats. Unfortunately, it never really lives up to this possibility, and that's really too bad because it manages to get some very big aspects very right in very big ways. It's sort of like JELL-O that way: it looks like it'll be awesome, but then turns out to be merely okay.

It is not the best in the genre, but still worth getting for the cool world of jelly that the developer, Infinite Dreams, has created.
