James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire

Games Radar
[Games Radar Rating = Hit] Although it isn't as revolutionary as GoldenEye once was, the deft changes of pace mean it's undoubtedly the most Bond-like game ever. It might not leave you shaken, but it's certainly stirring.
It’s just a shame that the game is too easy, a little more time perfecting the enemy AI and level design would have seen this scored much highly, but in the end this is a good game for action fans and those wanting their next Bond fix.
Slick, sexy and jam-packed with action — but this adventure is short with limited playability over time, except perhaps for its multiplayer modes.

The first James Bond game made for the PS2 is a good one. The control layout is a bit weird. But once you get used to it, you'll have plenty of fun. "Agent Under Fire" is a first-person shooter with a few stealth levels and car combat stages. If you explore enough, you'll discover hidden areas and can trigger "Bond" moments by being adventurous. After completing missions, you'll earn medals which can unlock special items. Overall, I would rate "Agent" with a 7.6 out of 10.

I’d give Agent Under Fire an 8 out of 10. It delivers a fun mix of action, gadgets, and fast-paced missions that really capture the Bond feel. The controls are a step-up from other bond games, making both combat and driving sections enjoyable without too much **** level design keeps things interesting, with a good balance between shooting, stealth, and a few vehicle moments that break up the pace nicely. Visually, it holds up well for its time, and the voice work and music do a solid job of setting the tone.

EA has turned in a shockingly playable Bond game that looks as good as it plays – and that is damn fine.

One of the few games I remember from the PS2 launch era.Graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is engaging yet forgiving. A true underrated and forgotten gem

This game gets a 10 from me, not because of the game, but because of the exploit with it that allows you to install Free McBoot on your PS2 and unlock the full potential of your console. I rented it and took it back the same day just because I needed a copy to perform the exploit, so thank you 007 Agent Under Fire, not for any game play experience, but for the potential to do something great for my Playstation 2!

Fun and immersive while it lasts, but unfortunately it’s a short ride with little replayability (save, maybe, for the multiplayer modes).

When you're not being dragged throughout the game, you'll love the sharp, extremely well done graphics that hide a horrible truth; the programmer's were either extremely rushed or very lazy.

There is the usual mix of chick, cars and guns to keep even the most special of agents happy.

It’s a solid game from a technical standpoint, but extraordinarily bland from a gameplay perspective. [Jan 2002, p.208]

Первая игра о Джеймсе Бонде на шестом поколении консолей. И одна из первых игр об агенте 007 со своим сюжетом (хотя изначально это должен был быть пк порт игры The World Is Not Enough,

EA shouldn't have cancelled the PS2 and PC version of The World Is Not Enough to make Agent Under Fire. An improved version of The World Is Not Enough would have been much better compared to what we got with Agent Under Fire. While playing as the worlds favourite spy is always fun and this game does have some moments overall it is just not a very enjoyable experience. The shooting mechanics just do not feel very satisfying, I realize that this is an older game but the shooting in GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough which are both older games was much better. I won't spoil the story but it is silly and not very interesting. Another issue I had was the game is just way to easy. The levels are short and the A.I. does not offer much of a challenge. I would say that out of all the Pierce Brosnan (Who is not even in this game! He is replaced by another actor who looks nothing like him) era James Bond games this is the worst game of the bunch. If you want a good James Bond game on the PS2 or Xbox play Nightfire or Everything or Nothing.

007 Agent Under Fire, by EA Games, tries to get close. Levels have great graphics and details, and there are different modes including driving the BMW Z8 in the streets, but the game itself is not very challenging. Multiplayer is fun, after you get the hang out of it, but the only nice thing of this game is that its a Bond game.
