Cole's powers are cool, the graphic novel cutscenes are stunning, the story is intriguing, and the city is alive.

Most importantly, the movement and combat mechanics are fantastic, while the firefights (and the starring role of electricity) are a true spectacle. In this game the city is both your playground and your plaything, and you'll feel like a bad-ass.

First of all i tried this one in 2026 so my yearly rate would be 7 but when i think it like i am in 2009 (which is i played second game in 2015 and it was nearly perfect for me at that time) i would give it a solid 8. Some problems are because of generation and that era of gaming but don't get me wrong gameplay is still so good (except parkour mechanics) and mostly satisfying. I like playing Cole and making decisions, seeing how the world changes due to my decisions and getting reactions from my friends and from random npcs is amazing. I wish there would be a new Infamous or at least a remastered/remake for this one.

Despite the occasional clunkiness and performance dips this is still one of the best games on the PS3 and one of my favorites.

It has PS3 Game of the Year written all over it and unless something truly special comes out later this year it could be my all-time favorite game of 2009 on any system.

Another surprisingly good game feature is the story. Objectives and allegiances chop and change, and the radio chatter drips with comic book melodrama. [July 2009, p.68]

My Review – inFAMOUS – 10/10
I gave inFAMOUS a 10 out of 10 because it’s an awesome start to the series and a really fun superhero experience. The story is interesting, the moral choice system is impactful, and using Cole’s electric powers feels powerful and satisfying.
The city is fun to explore, the combat is engaging, and the game does a great job making you feel like a hero or a villain depending on your choices. While it’s a bit rough around the edges compared to later entries, it’s still a fantastic game.
This is why inFAMOUS is a 10/10.

Great visuals, nice controls and electrifying action - That's how it's supposed to be. Granted, it’s not an innovation masterpiece but it delivers some great hours of fun.

It is not "Fable" and it does not try to be, it just takes these elements and combines them with some others to create very fun videogame, with its own personality and a well-achieved and told story, perfectly integrated with its gameplay. A more than recommended buy.

inFamous is a weird game – it’s entertaining and well developed, but lacks polish. Even though it’s really enjoyable, for the most part, it’s great but feels rough around the edges.

Insanely intense action, a fantastic control setup and decent missions, make for a thoroughly entertaining PS3 exclusive - apparently the format's first in the sandbox genre.

I played the 2nd game three times before I decided to try the first game. And I was a little disappointed. Mainly because the militia characters are so annoying - unbelieveably precise when shooting from far away and the combats are sometimes really hard and annoying.

One of the worst PlayStation exclusives. The only thing, that's good about this garbage - the story, that's all. Gameplay, graphics, missions, animations, FPS - are absolately terrible and do not pass the test of time from the word at all.

bland unoriginal and boring an open world with TPS shooting. bland super hero story and cookie cutter side missions the only good thing about this game are the graphics but that does not save the presentation from being boring.
