one of the most buggy uninspired poorly balanced games I have ever played. If you like old school dungeon crawlers everyone is better off replay some of the classic instead of this save reload one shot madness that is unplayable with a lot of party configurations period

I like Wizardry games but this game is atrocious. Wizardry 8 came out in 2001 and it is a great game this thing is all about grinding instead of dungeon exploration as it should be. Legends of Grimrock came out a while ago and it perfectly captured the spirit of good dungeon crawl. Stay away from this.

for anyone looking for a GOOD turn based strategy (tactics) RPG as I was I recommend to stay away from Rainbow Moon. The main concern here that the game relies solely on stats for the challenge. For instance character must have 20 strength to kill this enemies and unless he does no amount of tactics will allow player to progress as options are limited/non existent. This game boils down to press X on enemies 9999999999999999999999999999999 times while grinding for stats through gear or levels. Unless you enjoy killing uninspiring enemies that do exactly the same thing with just different amount of damage based on stats stay away from this. If you would like a good turn based combat go back to any disgaea/ff tactics/ tactics ogre/vagrant story/xcom/growlancer/fantasy wars and so on.

only 14 main missions and riddled with enemies that block super powers hindering freeplay in the city. The other side missions are mostly uninspired and take less than 30 seconds to complete and have about 5 different variants. Character customization / upgrades are all limited to skills doing more damage nothing more. A very poor attempt at Prototype/Infamous fails at everything it does. The PS3 version also buggy trophies not unlocking/freezes

confusing grind fest with battle system that can still make no sense even after tens of hours into the game and thats coming from someone who has played previous games from IF. Boring quest system if that even be called quest ... kill 10 of regular enemies or 2 of rare and come back. rinse repeat 360 times. thats all there is to this game. There is also disturbing sexual art in here that snuck up on me out of the blue and not in a nice way. Disturbing is the only way to describe it. Minigames that will break your controller if you play them by that consist of breaking off the stick or mashing same button 999999999999 times. Yah ok. I'll be going now. Cross Edge was way better than this and that game was terrible.

I cant belie I am saying this but this one of the worst game I've ever actually played to the end. The game itself is more or less standard turn based combat jrpg without much story - the world is ending and characters that do not impress. The gameplay itself consists of same looking single corridor dungeons with some split off square rooms and a boss - always. Go in straight corridor kill boss advance story and collect some useless upgrade stuff. The predecessor to this game Cross Edge at least had an innovative battle system and was challenging this thing has no appeal and is a very poor game at best. Replaying any good PS2 jrpg is more fun than exploring this new world. Nothing to see or experience here other than tedium and some frustration.

I like JRPGS I love video games but this game ooohhhhh my god. I start it up it shows some opening cut scenes with terrible dialogue. So far so good. I get to fight some beginning enemies. Usual button mash. Then soon I get to the first boss. The fight takes 5 minutes and during any turn I am at risk at unfair death because boss could/would take multiple turns to my 1 and unless I pressed every single split second guard prompt I am dead. This is with my reaction time being above average. Ok. lets continue. Same thing repeats terrible cutscenes more button mashing and now next boss. This one I find out I can not beat at my character level .... So I spend 15 minutes running back and forth leveling by killing that same poor single design enemy. Come back and impossible battle is now total push over. 10 hours into the game same patern repeats. The difficulty is either below easy or impossible. Every boss fight is a chore. Every dungeon has a single enemy design and is a straight path. Also did I mention that there is no retry option so on death you have to load the game and loose whatever progress you have made ...

I love this over the top action strategy Japanese rpg However instead of instantly falling in love with Resonance of Fate it was a slow and gradual process. At first the lack of explanation of core features of the game introduces a lot of frustration to the game but as the time went on and I've learned and discovered new and new combat features I started to love this game. Not only the gameplay is deep and addicting there are also most amazing ways of customizing equipment. Nothing stops gun customization other than your imagination. So many new and unique features to discover. Not only that but english dialogue can be downright hilarious. I love those small cut scenes that bring smile to my face. Overall one of the better jrpgs I've ever played.

for the game that features single hit death combat as main aspect it has way too many bugs and glitches. While Dark Souls 2 is a good game it has fallen far from the original Dark Souls and Demon Souls that featured close to flawless execution of all game mechanics. I can attest that after playing Demon Souls and Dark Souls that all of the deaths I have experienced in those games were result of my bad input where as in Dark Souls 2 I constantly die due to some unknown practices that clearly should not be happening causing me much frustration. Here is a list of some bugs/glitches that I have encountered: 1. dodging is not working properly when dodging just to get outside of hit range and successfully doing so hits still land while character is outside of hit range. 2. enemy hit miss detection is very wonky. character gets hits while positioned directly behind enemy that is performing frontal attacks and gets still hit. like getting hit while trying to back stab spear man that is poking in the opposite direction. 3. lock on. fighting multiple enemies and killing one and then getting killed because lock on would not auto target another enemy right in front of me on screen. (option is enabled) 4. lock on. weapons swinging in the opposite direction or at angle instead of the target. causing miss. causing death. making some weapons unusable with lock on. 5. enemies stuck in attack mode with infinite stamina and spam lock character in place till guard break and death. 6. lingering damage after attack is over like steeping into clear air after dragon breath attack has ceased only to die. 7. randomly respawning enemies without ever touching a bonfire. 8. using ingame menu to quit the game and dying while that is happening result in character loss. Features that do not belong in souls series: 1. areas featuring infinitely spawning enemies 2. ledges with loot that cannot be exited without returning to bonfire by death or teleport 3. jumping mechanics that constantly require to remove equipment to jump further 4. dropping down makes character automatically roll resulting frequently in death 5. low health characters build are punished by making some loot and some areas accessible only much later as fall damage is no longer percentage based and some puzzles require taking fire damage for extended periods of time. 6. most of the boss battles are located in the rooms so small and bosses so large that it creates camera issues and leaves no space to strategically position causing death by constantly dodging into walls. 7. a lot of boss battles now feature more than a single enemy that cheaply raises difficulty of the fight. 8. boss rooms sometimes are riddled with edges that can be fallen to the death and other things that do not allow enough room for normal combat. half of the fight time is spent waiting for NPCs to reposition themselves so they can be safely engaged again. that completely destroys the flow of combat. 9. some enemies/areas seem to require ranged combat only approach what I want to underline is that game features a lot of easy bosses made hard through cheap gimmicks Overall it would be a good game if it wasn't carrying on the legacy of previous two titles which featured close to perfect gameplay. Dark Souls 2 fails to achieve that perfection and thus disappoints me greatly.

Its not much **** and more move in a straight line and look at pretty colors world. Its saving grace is that it is extremely short and gets out of the way before it can get mind numbing and boring. There are much more exciting indie projects out there that are actually games. Like Trine, Braid, Limbo that all have gameplay to backup nice looking graphics.

Dragon's Crown is a Golden Axe remake. It is beautiful 2D graphics will make anyone fall in love with it (unless they are are gender right activists). Its aret is so good that it is possible to spend some time just enjoying the views instead of playing. However the gameplay falls flat on its face. Its is riddle with old problems of side scrollers like trying to hit a monster and hitting emptiness because the game thinks that you are too high or low comparing to monster on the screen. Its especially frustrating trying to hit a boss monster that is taking up most of the screen and still miss ... That is a biggest thing for me as fun killer however there are other additional problems like lack of variety in character customization and attack variety (although for a 2D game its up to par) some wonky dynamics like making player run around screen collecting spent arrows or spending time charging magic which only make this game more of a chore. Also there is a huge problem when playing in a party as allies easily make you loose track of your own character by blocking the view. Game repeatedly forces player into repeating the same 9 levels for quiet a while till finally unlocking a randomized dungeon for an unknown reason even thought randomized dungeon is where all the fun is at. It spices things up with enemy variations and is really well done too bad its unlocked so late. Overall the gameplay is very bland and I would have never played this game if I didnt love the art design. However even in the state it is in right now it is possible to spend a bit of time mindlessly blowing away some monsters in a beautiful 2D world.

Before I start I have to say that God of War and God of War 2 were and probably still are action games of their time. They had just the right mix of simplistic action thrown into a great setting. If God of War 3 would have came out in PS2 days instead of 2010 while I probably would be more likely to overlook glaring issues that are present in this game. The first and foremost of them is that apart from graphics the game has not evolved from previous titles and even may have been simplified further in GoW3. The combat itself feel very unresponsive when comparing it with other hack and slash games even not of AAA category like Conan, Sengoku Basara Samurai heroes and Afro Samurai. Not only is it unresponsive but its flow is constantly interrupted by quicklime connected to finishers, counter moves and all the bosses are littered with them instead just letting player fight bosses with weapons of their choice. Since this is a boss heavy title lets talk about bosses. Depending on the difficulty level you can just button mash through all of their attacks or on higher difficulty levels due to inability to cancel combos you can only do 1-2 hits and then wait for boss to do its thing and hope bad camera angle doesn't make you take a hit. Neither of the approaches is very fun. Apart from combat there is platforming and it is terribly executed with atrocious camera angles and jumping technique. This GoW game also lacks a story or interesting characters that in some way enhance the experience. To me it feels like this game was all about graphic and no substance.

pros: - a much awaited Diablo sequel. I know I wanted this game for 10 years - very fast loading - decent graphics - coop cons: - there are too few skills to play around in each class and once the difficulty romps up the options are taken out completely - unless you want to double/tripple/quadriple boring farming of the same areas you must use in game auction. that in turn leads to mudflation. now in 2013 it is possible to get end game gear that allows easy entry into inferno(mp++) with no effort. Getting said gear on your own is impossible. The time spend auctioning is wasted. I'd rather be playing the game then the auction house with virtual items... it is basicly an in game character editor/cheat system that takes hours instead of minutes to get desired results. - in 2013 I've acquired enough power to kill anything in the game in under 50 hours solo leaving me with no challenge ahead or desire to play - there is noticeable lag related issues like getting killed by unknown force and attacks not registering fast enough leading to death even with latency below 150 in single player. - diablo 2 mega annoying random boss system is back but now that players do not have to instant refresh skills and the whole system being much much slower than d2 which isnt a good thing. - the only thing that was improved over d2 is graphics and even that is arguable as instead of dark hellish feel the game now feels like WoW. - all the maps are now static ... - character development does not exist/removed the rest is imo: - an alright game to play once on normal. The rest of the difficulties area actually easier than normal and feature exactly the same content. For me who played d1/d2 a lot d3 feels like a sluggish version of the same game with extra quirks due to internet lag and included in game cheat system called auction house. Characters terribly lack customization options.

I love strategy rpgs and so I had to try Cross Edge I've started a game was introduced to a bunch of wonky characters and new battle system that I had to learn. I was excited. Unfortunately as I progressed through the game my excitement grew stale and the game provided no reason to play further as the only thing thing that I was getting is a bunch of the same random battle with same enemies and to advance anywhere required insane amount of grinding. I would be willing to overlook all of the above but the actual gameplay is lacking in a major way The battle system just does not make any sense to me there is no depth and constnat grind of same thing over and over again. I've now stomached around 10 hours worth of Cross Edge and I am not able to play this game any more so it will lie in wait until next yearly attempt of me ever finishing and I've had this game since release
