Ground Zero
Ground Zero stands out as one of the most polished and complete indie survival horror experiences in recent years. While clearly heavily inspired by Resident Evil, it feels like a lost game in the series rather than a copycat and the mix of combat and puzzles keep things fresh throughout. Throw in the generous extra modes and the unlockables mixing up subsequent playthroughs and you have a game that offers dozens of hours of quality survival horror for a bargain price.
Ground Zero is a masterful love letter to classic 90s survival horror. By blending the nostalgic charm of pre-rendered backgrounds and fixed cameras with brilliant modernizations like free aim, fluid movement, and a rewarding parry system, it entirely avoids the pitfalls of clunky retro clones. Boasting crisp Unreal Engine 5 visuals, a gripping branching narrative set in post-apocalyptic Busan, and a stellar resource management loop, it perfectly bridges the gap between past and present. An absolute must-play for genre veterans.
Ground Zero is a fantastic example of how to take the things that inspire you, make something great, while maintaining the core DNA, and add your own twist.

Um Jogo incrível que resgata a essência dos Survival Horrors. É melhor que muito Resident Evil, pelo menos o 6 com certeza. Recomendo demais!

Instant buy/instant play. And after a few hours, i can tell it's one of the best old school survival horror ever made ! The map is gigantic, there is some fresh mechanics in the fights, lots of stuff to collect with a short inventory, story is cool, looks like a dream for every fan of Resident Evil 1-3 or Dino Crisis (ps1 era) Congrats to the devs, just want to play this game every night and can't stop think of it. <3

Classic survival horror done right. If you want a gem of a survival horror game in the style of late 90's / early 2000's games, like the original Resident Evil Trilogy, or Dino Crisis, this is definitely one to play.

Noisy Pixel
Ground Zero delivers a deeply nostalgic yet modern survival horror experience that captures the tension, mystery, and personal discovery that defined the genre’s roots. With branching paths, layered level design, and challenging combat systems, it rewards patience and curiosity while occasionally frustrating with clunky menus and oversized environments. It stands out as a game built for replayability and exploration, even if some design choices slow the pacing.

The Wand Report
Ground Zero isn't trying to reinvent the survival horror wheel, but it offers enough thrills and a solid understanding of what makes the genre so enticing to provide an experience worth traversing through.
