Frank and Drake has been a pleasant, fun, emotional and highly recommended experience, a fair break from all the saturation of the AAAs and the monstrosity of their ambitious plans.

Meet Frank and Drake, two roommates living their lives in the day and night, working on their own problems together despite never meeting. Follow a week in their life by making choices and discovering their pasts through environmental story-telling.

Frank and Drake is an impressive feat thanks to its inventive art style alone, but the game manages to shine even more so hanks to a thoughtful story. Its approach to point-and-click based gameplay coupled with mature themes in its narrative make it a unique title worth trying out.

Although the story in the adventure puzzle game Frank and Drake takes a while to get going, it does eventually draw you in. There are several, non-linear paths to complete the game, allowing you to play through several times and explore all the options and elements. And the unique, rotoscoped animation looks great through each time.

Finally, while the narrative is exquisite, the story is sometimes slow and of little interest, and we only understand what has happened when we see it reflected in the diary at the end of the day. On such occasions it can cause the player to become disconnected from the plot. Overall, Frank and Drake is a beautiful story with its secrets and moments, masterfully drawn and looking better on a big screen than on a portable.
