The broader issue, though, is one of time: time you spend waiting for pretty much everything to happen. Or, to be even more specific, time you spend waiting for crops to grow so you can harvest them, since that's more or less the entire focus of Farming Simulator 16.

Do you like the series and want to play the 2016 edition? If so then I suggest you buy the Android/iOS version and yourself a few pounds. But if you’re really want it on the PS Vita and have the money, then go ahead! You will have enough content to keep you playing.

As relaxing on the Vita as it is on the PS4, but lacking in basic features and disappointing in the graphics department; Farming Simulator 16 is a bit of a wasted opportunity.

It is still not a simulator, just arcade entertainment (not even a game as there is no real challenge to it), that refuses to take the opportunity to educate on the challenges of real farming, but now can be held in the hand on your phone. If Giant Software would only spend a little more time on a real farm, it might open their eyes to what a opportunity they have here.

All joking aside, the Farming Simulator series has been reliably a solid sim franchise that accurately represents farming. But with that goes a steep learning curve as this installment features no tutorial and bare bones instructions, being basically a port from smartphones to the Vita. That said, FS16 is a step up from last year's versions with additional tools and challenges, and on a handheld that is starved for actual simulation games, this one will do the trick - if farming is what you are into.

Farming Simulator 16 returns to the Vita, and it's bigger and better than ever. A number of small tweaks and additional features makes it the best portable farming sim yet. But those improvements come with a steep price tag, and the improvements are probably not enough for an upgrade. Still, for people looking to jump in to a relaxing and long farm management game, Farming Simulator 16 is a good place to start.

Farming Simulator 16 accomplishes its goal of allowing you to manage a virtual farm, pretty well. But it sadly falls apart as a game due to the lack of options, as the Vita version is severely limited to console versions. It isn’t quite as boring as watching paint dry, but it will only hold your attention for as long as you want to watch grass grow.
