Can we have it this simple, but a bit bigger? [Dec 2009, p.87]

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo is a game that will probably please fans, but it's undoubtedly an half-baked beat'em up, with annoying technical flaws and serious gameplay issues.

It's a shame that Revenge of King Piccolo becomes essentially a mediocre fighting game in the latter part of the adventure. [Dec 2009, p.88]

The gameplay isn't quite up to par with the graphics. It is however one of the most true to the anime/manga games of Dragonball out there. The multi-player is pretty poor, but that is clearly NOT what this game is about. Most of the levels in the single player are pretty good, some however do drag on a bit, slowing the pace of the game. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the series, not anyone else though. As fans could let some bad level design slide for the great cut scenes scattered throughout the game. Slight shortness and occasional **** drag the game down however.

As much as I fell in love with this game, it isn't going to please everyone. It is short, easy and can be difficult to follow if you aren't familiar with the story already. It also sports a dated design, and I can't see anyone but the superfans forgoing all the other amazing games out right now to play this one.

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo isn't the best game about Goku and his friends, but it's an awesome way to introduce yourself in an accessible and fast pace gameplay. Also, the game's fidelity is prominent, so fans will be happy seeing Goku flying Nimbus once again.

There’s nothing wrong with a good beat-em-up, and that’s exactly what Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo is. Combining classic 2D style arcade brawling with a simple fighting game mechanic for added two player support, Wii’s latest Dragon Ball game is a fairly polished, well executed, mindless endeavor.

Goku's on his best on the latest Wii adaptation of his particular story. This time we'll facing with King Piccolo in a beat 'em up that contains different platform aspects and, what's more important, very interesting gameplay mechanics that everyone will enjoy. It's not perfect, but a good choice for next Christmas.

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo for the Wii has all the right moves but falls flat when it comes to the enemies and the lack of real innovation.

All in all, this is probably the worst Dragon Ball game available, and there is no reason as to why this game wasn’t given the attention it deserved.

SummaryHeading back to the early days of the Dragon Ball story, players control Kid Goku as he sets out on fantastic adventures with his friends. The title faithfully reproduces the uniqueness and special humour of the early Dragon Ball series, while adding an original blend of action and adventure to the mix. With the original Japanese music ... Read More
