A pretty impressive package for 2 quid. [June 2013, p.79]
At the very least, you'll get your money's worth, which often cannot be said for the many games DLC Quest owes its creation to.

DLC quest isn't what I call a game, but a parody or satire of one. While the joke of having to collect money to unlock abilities wears out after awhile; the game eventually expands its pot shots to the gaming industry itself. I won't call DLC Quest a good game pre say, but its certainly is a great joke.

Parody of 2010s Gaming Industry. Not a groundbreaking game, but still provides with Metroidvania style gameplay and sarcastic humor. It is kind of short game, yet you need to replay a few times to fully consume every content game provides. 9: Must play - One of the best games of the year it came out.

grrrr
Classic platform game with tiptop gameplay. Parody of downloadable content, when you buy a game and then you have to pay for more and more to continue. Nice fun for about 2 hours.

Worth the money for nice chuckles! For $3.00 I had fun, giggled and made sure did all the "awardments." After that, I played the 2nd campaign: Live Freemium or Die. This 2nd campaign was even funnier than the first. At the same time as being funny, DLC Quest takes a look at the ridiculousness of the concept of paid DLC.

For 1.01$ on Steam Summer Sale.... I was very......IMPRESSED This game for a buck is a very awesome deal. Can take Maximum 3 hours to complete everything ,so that 0.33$ an hour I had great times with this game and I very felt in love with the idea. Yes it is linear but hey it very funny, very original, and very fun overall It definitely the Best 1$ I have spent in my entire life! Just buy it

Çok eğlenceli ve keyifli bir oyun. Sıkıldığın bir zaman girip, oyunu bitirebilirsin. Gayet güzel eğlendirir ve kahkahalarla vakit geçirmeni sağlar.

DLC Quest calls itself a satire, but to be honest this game feels like it was made by a 14 year old. The game really tries to be funny, but sadly none of the jokes made me laugh. I played through this game 2 times now and you can definitely have some fun with it. However, there is nothing special here gameplay wise, besides using the things you collect to buy more upgrades than you would normally in other games. If you want to try it out as a satire game, then go for it. Otherwise I would recommend you to play other, better 2D platformers. Rating: Gameplay: 3/5 - The dlc buying twist is kind of nice Level Design: 2/5 - Nothing special Soundtrack: 3/5 - Pretty good Story: 1/5 - Nearly non existing and not well put together Graphics: 2/5 - Could be better Length: 1/5 - Less than 2 hours long Replay Value: 1/5 - Nearly non existing Enjoyment: 3/5 - It's okay Overall rating: 16/40 => 4/10

Basically paying $3 for a series of jokes. Game is extremely linear and world is very small. It's a very basic platformer, and everything else is just a gimmick.

SummaryWhat happens when DLC practices go too far? An indie developer makes a game that mocks the industry and its foibles, that's what! Defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl! But first you'll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing. Thankfully this is just satire and all the DLC is purchased w... Read More
