My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]

Awesome game, my favourite Diablo.
Nice story, good mechanics.
The only reason why it's a 9 instead of a 10, it's because the ONLY mechanic in the game is killing (ik its a hacknslash but its a little bit repetitive).
10
É muito divertido de jogar com os amigos, e é divertido buscar por melhores builds no endgame.

I liked the story and the graphics, but despite increasing the difficulty to hard, it still was very easy and I couldn't increase it more without re-starting the campaign.

Games this thoughtfully crafted don't happen very often, and the care that Blizzard has taken with Diablo 3 shows in every facet of its design and execution. It might not be perfect, but after 45 hours, I'm not sure where it missteps, and after 45 hours, I feel like I've only scratched the surface of what it has to offer. Diablo 3 is almost evil in how high a bar it's set for every PC action RPG to follow, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that bar remain for a very long time.

Simply put, Diablo III is a ton of fun. With five character classes, three unlockable difficulty levels and the Blizzard statement that 70% of the loot isn't available in Normal, there is tons of replay value. Anything bad I could say about the game is, in the end, a minor complaint, and none of it got in the way of my enjoyment. It lives up to the series pedigree and is the best game of its kind. If you like this style of game you should absolutely be playing it, and if you're new to the genre it's a great place to start.

The bottom line is, if you want to play an action-RPG that is easy to get into, rewards skillful play in higher difficulty levels, and lets you easily play with your friends, Diablo III is a game that you absolutely cannot miss. But its narrow design makes it a game that I can't recommend without caveat for those who prefer single player experiences.

Fans asked for Diablo, Blizzard delivered. Diablo III isn't the amazing evolution of the hack 'n' slash genre everyone was expecting, but it's still an incredibly good game that will challenge you like no other if you decide to deeply explore everything it has to offer. Diablo is back, say goodbye to your social life.

After surviving death by boredom at the Normal - "difficulty", Diablo III gets much better. [June 2012]

The basic concept is still there, an action packed RPG-light with a very real focus on fat loot. Compared to its predecessors, Diablo III has been streamlined to appeal to a modern day audience and has lost some if its customization in the process, but the different characters are diverse enough to satisfy most play styles. Some design choices – like obligatory connection to an overloaded and unstable Battle.net together with sometimes far between checkpoints and non-persistent game areas – may be in question but the overall experience is as solid as ever. Be prepared to invest some time to get access to the real goodies since playing on normal difficulty setting is not enough to get you the full monty.

There is absolutely no denying that Diablo III continues to maintain the high artistic standards that it has kept over the years. But the dumbed character and inventory systems, coupled to the ridiculous always-on connection and the breathtaking arrogance of the"you'll play how we tell you to play" attitude makes playing this title a damned shame instead of a hell of a good time.

An amazing experience compared to D4. Hope they move dev resources and really expand upon this game. The build diversity, fun co-op, and variety of gear and end-game far surpass D4 in every way.

I really recommend to play with Diablo III. I bought it in a bundle with expansions on **** for 19.99€. Definitely worth to buy it for this price. The game mechanism very similar to Diablo II with some annoying new features like always online DRM and boring achivements. At the time when Diablo III was new, it seemed anachronistic to me. Blizzard didn't risk to much. The game has a very few innovation, most of the features comes from earlier installments. Pros: - stunning graphics and animations
- replayability
- fascinating character classes
- well designed levels
- music and sounds
Cons:
- annoying modern features
- always online DRM
- dull achivements
- lack of innovations

This game is to cartoonish and less gothic.
the art direction have lost their way and the game wont let you be immersed for long.
Less Diablo and more World of Diablo.
SummaryDiablo III picks up the story twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram.
