Don't let the look deceive you. This is a solid game. This is how games should be. In good faith, I cannot give it more points, because it's short and the visuals are sometimes hindering the gameplay (can't see the traps). Still, I had a lot of fun and could not put down the controller. It was made by a single developer and you can buy it for pennies. Give it a try.

Demon's Tier+ is a 16bit Top-Down Dual-Stick Rouge-Lite Action RPG. With Anime styling to the character art, Demon's Tier takes you on a fantasy adventure with a twist. The levels are procedurally generated, and so are the quests. You can play as one of eight characters, each with their own play style. Death means the removal of your earnings and a trip back to the start. You do gain levels, through the collection of gold, and between stages, you can spend it to level your character. Then you can use D-tokens to permanently unlock characters and upgrade gear. Combat is done by avoiding incoming attacks with the Left Stick and "Shooting" with the Right Stick. Each level is random, and you enter, do your mission, and find the exit. You only have five minutes to complete a stage before the reaper appears to destroy you, ha can be avoided, but contact with it hurts you, so escape before it gets you. This title reminds me of a lot of Gauntlet, Everyone throws or shoots something, and there are droves of enemies to defeat. There is also tons of treasure to loot. With Live Local or Split Screen, you can bring a friend along too! The chiptune music fits the game perfectly most of the time. Fans **** dungeon crawl, will find some serious action here!
