This is visually stunning cooperation platform puzzle game. Great for an indoor date night.

A surprisingly entertaining platformer which creatively throws some puzzle solving your way. The balance between the platforming and puzzle solving sections feels just right. Add to that a very pleasant audiovisual style and you really cannot fault Degrees of Separation in any way. If we're pushing for criticisms, the precision required when solving some puzzles might be the only minor gripe we could think of but that's really all. Great fun and highly recommended.

In a sea of seemingly endless Metroidvanias, combat-heavy roguelikes and general run-and-gunners, the tranquil pacing and puzzle focus of Degrees of Separation feels like a welcome respite. The gameplay is easy enough to figure out with almost no prompting, the story is charming, and the presentation is lovely. So, by all means, play it with someone you love!

Cooperative games don't get much better than Degrees of Separation. Its ingenious puzzle design and open-ended campaign are perfect for co-op fun while the gorgeous visuals and storybook narrative make it all the more engaging.

Degrees of Separation is a very enjoyable puzzle-based game, better played in coop. It’s very original and has a very interesting open structure, but it needs a wider variety of puzzles to prevent it from becoming a little bit repetitive.

Despite a stunning art style and puzzles as gratifying as they are numerous, a disappointing lack of features prevent Degrees of Separation from outshining others in its genre. When you're willing to overlook the repetition in favour of its intriguing central mechanic, however, this charming title will prove itself worthy of your time.

A well produced puzzle platformer that we want to like but somehow came away from without being too thrilled. Not a bad game, just not distinctive enough to distinguish itself from its peers.

Degrees of Separation has a great deal of heart built into it. Ember and Rime bring a light but appealing dichotomy to the world that's fun to solve puzzles with. However, both narrative and gameplay pacing suffer greatly due to creative choices. In the right hands, Degrees of Separation could be a personal favorite. However, a great companion is required to overcome this game's frequent, repetitive shortcomings.

The entire time I was playing it, all I wanted to do was switch back to The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.

Critical Hit
Degrees of Separation is a visually gorgeous and charming game that, while having some innovative mechanics, devolves into tedium due to a poorly paced story and repetitive puzzles .
