Portal 28

In geometry, the best problems are the ones where the given information is minimal but the solution requires deep, creative thinking. The challenge isn’t about untangling a mess of clues; it’s about that one brilliant well-hidden concept. Portal 2 often does the opposite. Many puzzles drown you in mechanics before you even understand the core idea. Instead of focusing on a clever 'aha!' moment, you waste time just managing all the tools the game throws at you. The real solution might be simple, but it’s buried under layers of unnecessary setup.

Even though I only gave the first game a 5, at least it had a soul, But this one? The developers were more focused on infusing agendas into the game. And as for the story? It’s plain, forced, and lacks the emotional depth that made the first game, the side characters exist solely to glorify Aloy Sure, the mechanics are improved, the open world is bigger with better engaging content, there are more machines, even climbing and inventory systems are better. but all that polish can’t hide a hollow core.

In my experience, the remaster was a must for me to play the game. I couldn't stand that yellowish effect in the original, and the character models are much better. But the game itself is below average, with a poor open world. It feels like they just took a bunch of textures and randomly placed them on a generic landscape. The only unique areas are the ancient ruins, and they’re nothing more than empty structures with collectibles. The bandit camps and corrupted are just cheap ways to extend the content. Other than that, the world is just filled with machines scattered all over the map. That said, the machines themselves are well done and really fun to fight, and with the good story, that's what’s keeping me to finish it.

I really wanted to enjoy this game, but unfortunately, I couldn’t. I thought I’d get a calm exploration adventure with plenty to discover and take in, but instead, it felt like a chore. From the moment you start following the torturial, you’re pretty much locked into doing the same thing over and over. What even is the selling point of this game? Is it the gameplay? Because all you really do is collect minerals just to survive and keep your aircraft running. Is it the graphics? Maybe in some way, but I can’t really see it. Is it the story? Is there even one? Is it the exploration? Sure, there are endless procedurally generated planets, each with its own atmosphere and creatures, but then what? They feel meaningless. There’s no real point in roaming these planets

[Loading screen] … Absolutely nails the driving experience, The world is great, the cars look and feel amazing.[Loading screen] … But then you get to the campaign… and it’s garbage.[Loading screen] … The way content is revealed is a mess, the story is pointless, and the characters are annoying as hell.

The game couldn’t have been done better. the mechanics, art style, and THE UI IS GREAT. A friend of mine said the UI was overhelming, but he’s just got brain rot.
