If you play Call Of Duty online all year round then Christmas has officially come early. But if you’re a sucker for the ludicrous, globe-trotting, re-skinned James Bond adventures that constitute these games in single player, you’ve picked the perfect year in which to take a twelve-month break.

Advanced Warfare is still Call of Duty, but it's more playful, knowing and refreshing than COD's been in years. [Christmas 2014, p.112]

In many ways, the game is the perfect distillation of the franchise's core appeal. But it's still just Call of Duty, don't expect it to revolutionize the industry. [Issue#118, p.61]

It’s an alright shooter. To be fair, I am biased towards preferring retro games (1970’s-2009), as I absolutely despise modern gaming wholeheartedly, but I don’t think this game is bad or anything. The single player campaign is great all things considered, and the environments look cool. I like the futuristic theming, but beyond that I don’t have much to say really.

Advanced Warfare is already legendary. Boosting is awesome, mind-blowing and fits the game like a latex glove. I pity Treyarch, who'll have to pull out all stops to surpass this one.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s single-player campaign is a ridiculous summer movie romp with sobering visions of the future of weaponry. Bring popcorn, because the real fun begins with the multiplayer, where the wealth of customization options should have players coming back for game after game.

The game is damn fun. You’ve got a bit of everything that you’re supposed to have with a Call of Duty title. An entertaining campaign mode, a fast/furious MP experience and a co-op mode that does everything you’re used to doing with a bit of a change to keep it different from previous iterations.

The EXO-suit makes the already very strong multiplayer experience feel fresh and new. We appreciate Sledgehammer for offering great maps, awesome weapons and the rough and tough vertical gameplay. This might be the best Call of Duty in years.

Even though the addition of futuristic weapons and new movement options could mark a paradigm shift, the campaign is as always: explosive and well-paced but in the end meaningless and bar any surprises. The multiplayer on the other hand is exciting and fresh and will keep you glued to the screen for a long time.

The Escapist
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare upholds the status quo and aims no higher than that. Its sci-fi trappings are but shallow appeals to progress, and while the multiplayer is still able to provide some entertainment, the CoD formula feels anything but "advanced" these days.

absolutely love this game!! the rocket jumping, space jumping, whatever it’s called gives this game a unique feel, and it’s so much fun tbh! i think half the reason i love this game so much is because of that. the gameplay is also good, and the guns offered are cool too! it’s not Black Ops 1 or 2 level of guns (those are my favs) but still fun nonetheless. 10/10, love it!!

i don't know why people hate this game, it's fun, the campaign isn't that bad, has a satisfying ending and great graphics for the ps3 7.0

Si fuera por como me lo pasé jugando a este juego sería un 8 fácil pero la manera de meter las cajas para que sea un Pay to win se cargaba el juego. Mapas buenos y frenetismo, zombies sin más y la campaña no me gustó cuando la jugué

This game is good, not the greatest tho. there are a few reasons i dislike Advanced Warfare, First thing is that shotguns and snipers are pretty much useless. When you try to snipe somebody they can just EXO jump into the air and kill you. Shotguns are also point less because its harder to get up close to another player. Second reason is Spam Spam Spam, all you have to do in this game is Exo jump non stop and kill your opponents. Forth reason is If you only have 3 out of the 4 map packs you will find no games. So either buy all 4 DLCS or Don't install any DLCS. My last reason is that Exo Zombies ****. One of the worst zombie modes i ever played in Call of Duty series. Zombies Exploding and stupid EMP zombies that shut down your EXO suit for like 10 seconds and gets you killed.

COD: the yearly box of chocolate - you do not really know what's inside, but rest be assure, it will be sweet and well, the same chocolate with perhaps different fillings. This game was improvement over Ghost but it still feels too scripted, corridor-like game with not much thrills.
