Broken Arrow is a strong debut from Steel Balalaika Studio and one of the most compelling real-time tactics in recent years, equally engaging in single-player and online modes.

It's a technically-broad, visually-impressive game with good sound and a complex gameplay structure. It offers an acceptable number of battlefields and just over three hundred detailed troop types, whether you play as Russia or the United States, and there is a lot to be gained on both sides.

Both its greatest strength and biggest weakness, the precision that Broken Arrow demands often chokes its more abstract qualities. It's a stark spectacle with nasty, legitimately cynical overtones, but its unwillingness to compromise aesthetically and tonally almost makes it mechanically inflexible, to the point that the player often doesn't feel included in the strategy making whatsoever.

1:1 blue VS red fair fight. compare to Warno, less country but more weaponry details. It seems missiles range is shorter for game balance. Modern customize is good one. Especially beachhead is best of the show. Visualize battlefield is easier to understand military operations step by step. Forget about Steam reviews. that's players sabotage. The game is Actually not bad. My opinion, bad taste is UI and BGM, That's sound, not music.

Broken and slowly becoming a dead game. Bugs, cheaters bad performance and not balanced at all.

Broken Arrow is the game for anyone who wants good RTS mechanics focused on modern-day military hardware. Combat, while centered around the classic concept of point control, is fast and fun, with plenty of tactical options. Players get a lot of choices when building their unique force for multiplayer or skirmishes against the computer. The campaign has some great missions with unique setups but also suffers because of its cast of characters and inability to save during a battle. Broken Arrow is a great experience for players who want to engage in multiplayer with a group of friends and aren’t too annoyed at having some limitations when other game modes are involved.

A masterpiece of emergent gameplay, fantastically paced, this is the best modern/future war RTS/RTT game available. The modular nature of the armory system combined with incredible sights and sounds make for a captivating experience. The type of game you can play forever.

Broken Arrow is a solid RTS that can provide good fun to anyone who’s willing to spend a bit of time studying its systems, but the lack of campaign saves and an occasionally unclear UI are definitely areas where there should be improvements.

Broken Arrow is a modern warfare strategy game with a clear positioning and target audience—veteran players coming from titles like Wargame: Red Dragon and Warno. It faithfully recreates the data settings of various military units and the coordination and tactics of modern battlefields, offering solid playability and considerable depth for tactical study.

'Broken Arrow' is a blessing for wargame fans who prefer realistic battlefields. With its depiction of modern and near-future combat and a deeply engaging gameplay system, the game is highly enjoyable. However, it’s not a game for everyone, and there are still some lingering stability issues.

Broken Arrow is currently a diamond in the rough with plenty of gameplay charm, but it still needs a fair bit of fine-tuning to truly sparkle. However, the developer update from June 30, 2025, gives us confidence that the developers have recognized the challenges and will address them promptly.

we will weight 8 points when they stop doing USA vs USA or RUSSIA vs RUSSIA. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Inexcusable to not have a save function for a game like this. Developers don't seem to be prioritizing that so this stays at a zero until it's fixed. Otherwise could be an easy 9 for me.

Ugly, buggy and no save function. Broken Arrow is indeed BROKEN! Game looks ugly. Unity is just sooo far behind all the mayor engines. It looks like toys. Ugly vegetation and popins for details, shadows, plants all over the place even on maxed out game. My game is hardlocked to 50 FPS, seems like a bug. My drivers are set to cap a 144 FPS and I set the game to 120 FPS cap and other values higher than 50 but nothing is happening. I have a 9070 XT that does not even get fully utilized at that FPS. When I died failed doing the first mission on hard I for to the screen where I was supposed to click "continue" or "restart". Clicking on restart does NOT WORK, I was forced to quit to the menu. Another annoying bug. The game has does not seem to have a save function so its no fun to play on hard and try to get a challange as you have to restart from scratch every single game with the SUPER EXTENDED boring **** ass mission beginnings. So the game already prevents me from really digging deep into it with these issues. I fail to see how this game gets so much praise. Because the ugliness and that fact that you can not save happens for everyone if they do not have the 50 FPS cap issue. Maybe It's because they did not test on AMD or something. Gameplay so far seems very basic, nothing innovative or especially groundbreaking so far. The game does not have any fog of war or anything that indicates where your vision actually is. You have to use recon units to spot that is perfectly fine but units can be right next to you in some woods and you do not see them, the issue is you have NO INDICATION to where your line of sight is, that makes it pretty annoying. Tutorails ****. Does not really explain how to play the game, you have to trail end error it. I also do not like how the game is so political and how Russia is the evil aggressor. Is the game not done by Russians? Or are they Ukrainians? The names in the credits all sound very Russian. I do not need current time war propaganda in my games. They display this typical distancing text about "all events are fiction blablabla" and sure they are, still it feels like it purposefully uses the current state of the world. If its function makes something up, invent nations instead of the USA vs "EVIL" RUSSIA BS. Voice actress for the female officer or whatever she is in the campaign is just bad. The males are more or less average OKish, but she just stands out of doing a bad job. It's awkward to listen to, and she sounds cheap and amateurish. Also, am I supposed to be a military nerd? Inits have no overview all, no description of what they can do. They are icons and categories, but that is it! There are 3 different infantry units with bazooka like weapons. Some are specific anti-air units, and you learn this AFTER you order them and the voiceover says "AA unit here" or something. Another unit is Anti Tank and I still now know what the 3rd is if they also are anti tank or WTF the difference is. Seems Marines can also shoot at tanks ... the game needs some basic overview of units when you order them. I am baffled why this game gets so much praise, sounds like bought reviews. This is an alpha version, typical 2025 games are sold in early access alpha state completely unfinished.
