Even if it’s the first Bioshock that still stands out as a milestone in gaming, for me the real high of the series is Bioshock Infinite. Just about everything in the game is perfectly done, and despite the fact it came out seven years ago, it feels as fresh and interesting as it did then. Taken together with the other two games in the series, there’s a pretty good argument to be made that Bioshock: The Collection is one of the must-play games on the Switch (and whatever other system you have).

The best way to enjoy this game, the additional content not only gives closure to the overarching story, but it also connects this game with the previous games, making it a very complete package. To Infinity and Beyond. BioShock Infinite is gorgeous, it's full of style and flair, it has incredible worldbuilding, and a beautiful art-style that makes it look timeless. The story's premise is very intriguing, it touches some controversial topics, but what I like the most about the game is the 2 main characters, they are the heart and soul of the story and carry the entire game all the way to the end. As for the gameplay, it's actually pretty good, the shooting feels heavy and responsive, the environmental combat with the skyhook and Elizabeth's powers add some depth to it, and the vigors are fun to use, all in all I'm very satisfied. Honestly I really enjoyed this game, but as much as I like the characters and the overall story, especially during the amazing first half, mostly because of phenomenal introduction, and the open areas, personally I'm not really a fan of the whole multiverse subplot that gets involved later on. It definitely could've been a masterpiece if it handled some things better, however, while it has some unique ideas that I really liked, I noticed few plot holes that could've been prevented if the established lore was more fleshed out. At the end of the day, it just isn't as special as it thinks it is, it's just a fun First Person Shooter experience with some interesting things to say. Final Rating: "Great" ~ 8/10.

This game is excellent in many ways, (the port on nintendo switch is delightful, with great performance, sound and graphics). One of the best shooters available, great story and atmosphere.

Bioshock Infinite is one of the best games of the 7th generation of consoles. The reissue on Switch turned out to be excellent, the game looks decent both in portable mode and on TV. You can say a lot about Bioshock Infinite itself, this is the best thing Ken Levin did. Yes, after almost 10 years, the gameplay of Bioshock Infinite seems archaic and outdated, and graphically the game was not impressive in 2013. But here is one of the best plots, just superbly prescribed main characters and the most important thing is the topics that are raised in the game. There is also racial segregation and opposition of cultures and societies. And to say that at a certain moment the topic of incest is raised and there is no need. There are no games like Bioshock Infinite in the modern gaming industry. The re-release of Bioshock Infinite only makes it clear how the industry has degraded over these almost 10 years.

Bioshock Infinite was my first experience with the Bioshock franchise, so I came into this game super blind, I wasn't expecting much from this game in terms of story, I just wanted a doom-like fun first-person shooter, and I got way more than I expected. The reason I'm not giving this game a 10 is because enemy types are repeated and a lot of sections can feel like de ja vu again and again. The gameplay is good enough though that this doesn't get too tiring. The use of salts for things like the fire ball, and shock jocky is a great system as well that makes the game more and more fun. The first person perspective is also great for this game, because it allows Elizabeth to be the main focus of the game, which leads to the story being really creative and cool, I'm not going to spoil the ending, but it makes this game being first-person especially powerful, in general this is a great first person shooter with a crazy, but still really cool story, I highly recommend you try it, also it works really well on the switch, I didn't experience any technical difficulties, and the game looks amazing on the console.

BioShock Infinite was an unexpected experience to me. At the beginning I had some trouble with adapting to controls, since it differs from the controls in previous two games. With time, I got used to it and the game exceeded my expectations. Spectacular FPS/adventure game with really nice and colorful graphics. It's a well known thing that colors in this one are more vibrant than in the previous BioShocks, but it still made me do "woow" gesture. The plot was really nice, it didn't go in the way I expected and that was nice, plus the ending truly shocked me. I had trouble to pass the last part in which player has to fight of waves of enemies, meanwhile protecting some machine/source of the power (I dislike this type of missions), but I completed it at my 4th try. I've also played both of the "Burial at the Sea" DLCs, it felt good to go back to the Rapture and experience another story over there. Part 2 was more stealthy but still with a great gameplay. The only dislike of mine within the BioShock Infinite was that the only save option was to search for an autosave place. There is no option to save the game whenever player would like (It was an option in the previous games). That was the only thing I disliked. Some may say that there is no gyro aiming is bad, but overall I think that gyro aiming is just a nice addition that make games easier while playing on controllers... I liked the challenge and I didn't miss gyroscope aiming options, but if you are the type of person who needs gyro aiming then WATCH OUT there is none! It's a gaming franchise I played for the first time on the switch and it found a free space in my heart and took it. I do recommend BioShock series wholeheartedly!!
