It's been a long haul, more than two months of solid game-play, but I have been absolutely engrossed by every minute! Very few games earn such an accolade from this reviewer.

This is, without a doubt, the closest thing out there to actually getting together with a bunch of your friends on a Sunday afternoon, taking your characters into a dungeon, and using you own BOO to find out if that bottomless pit was actually bottomless.

The one and only BG for old school gamers. Got it on consoles and it rocks.

If you play through the entire thing, side quest after side quest, and if you take advantage of the immense amount of replay-value, you may not need another game this year, except perhaps the expansion pack. Don't desert us now, BioWare.

That's the great thing about Baldur's Gate, not only does it look "the dog's," it provides the player (and multiplayers) with a living, breathing world complete with specific rules which must be adhered to. Now that's magic!

Everything that fans of AD&D have always wanted in a computer game. The only thing that will prevent it from being perfect for everyone is the very fact that it follows the AD&D rules so faithfully.

Despite our nitpicky issues with "graphical cleanliness" and clunky multiplayer, Baldur's Gate simply shines.

The game is literally taking you to a new fantasy world ,where the opportunities to explore are endless and unreal. The fact how old but gold this game is is just mind blowing. The UI is so comforting that it makes you feel like being in some mad scientists or explorer's study room. The map is huge and the loading time isn't much. The story is alluring and the characters are well made. There are also PDF files for guidence

Much too hyped I think. It's an ok game for sure and back in the day I'm sure it was better, I just got to play this recently which is odd as I'm old for a gamer and have played D&D games since the 80s on computer. This has more or less all the downsides of Bioware games I can think of. Pretty much a hack'n slash rather than a role playing game.

посл босс.убил весь интерес к игре.к нему добавили 3х сильных нпс.которые рвут жопу всем.разрабам нужно было еще дракона добавить.а то как то не сразу всех моих персонажей убивают за минуту.

The music is horrible. It sounds like it's from 1990 and there's not much of it. It really clashes with the other aspects of the game, too. It's like playing Mario Odyssey while listening to the music from NES Mario Bros. The game is very slow and repetitive otherwise. Skip it.
