While Atomfall presents a weird and wonderful world to explore, it ultimately fails to live up to expectations. Epitomizing a good idea not being executed to its full potential, Rebellion's mysterious spin on the action-survival genre just falls short.

The game’s world is a pleasure to explore, mainly because we don’t get too many games set in good old Blighty. But Atomfall stretches players too much and has painfully basic combat.

Life isn’t easy, especially when you end up in a radioactive zone and a secretive government cuts you off from civilization. That happened to us twice this year: first in the magnificent Stalker, now in Atomfall. You see, with Atomfall we didn’t use any superlatives, and that’s no oversight. Atomfall reminds us of our attempts at cooking: all the ingredients are there, but the result doesn’t taste as good as we hoped. The game doesn’t escape the label ‘mediocre’: at this moment, it mainly feels like it’s only about 80 percent finished. A shame, because we do like the concept.

Very solid semi-open world game with amazing graphics and enough to explore. The combat is fun but too easy after a while. Multiple endings with different ways of beating the game. But overall wasted potential with the weird storyline, unnecessary NPCs and the expensive price. Would recommend buying it on sale or when using the gamepass.

Maps are too small, or simply not enough regions, with very little to actually explore, wasn't very rewarding when you did. The village feels empty with little to none npcs to interact with, let alone with leads to investigate. Outside the village. There isnt much else to do besides pursue your leads. Theres little to none loot to scavenge, the world feels stale, and again with very limited exploring. There isnt much depth to the game. Maybe I had high expectations for this game, it sounded to me like it had great potential, I loved the concept but now after playing for 10 hours, im not entirely impressed. The weapon system, and the weapon mechanics i am enjoying. Theres a decent variety too, could be a little more but overall not too shabby. Other than the weapon system. The game feels unfinished. I've got over 3000 hours on my ps5 with different games, and I've never been this bored with a game after 10 hours of gameplay, I definitely recommend not spending the 50 dollars on it. Simply its a waste of money

A new type of game from Rebellion that is not very long, quite hard in the beginning and interesting enough to finish it but suffers from lack of normal fast travel that forces you to run a lot without any good reason as well as having a really small inventory space. The backpack is one thing but the storage in the tube is also so small that you will literally have to waste items and not loot everything you see to have some space left. Last thing: I love multiple endings that you can get and the dlc's also add new ones ;)

Atomfall is a brilliant and fresh take on post-apocalyptic survival. It is a beautiful mix of Fallout and souls-like games, with wonderful exploration and mysteries to discover at every turn. Not many games have made me really feel like I am the master of the story and I craft it to how I see fit but this one does! The wonderful recreation of the beautiful Lake District, accompanied with a sci-fi horror twist, makes this game one of the best additions to the genre in recent memory. I implore anyone to go in with as little knowledge as possible to be wowed at each twist and turn of this thought-provoking narrative. Some minor flaws dampen the spirit slightly but this is still Rebellion’s finest work to date.

Atomfall presents you with an engaging setting containing exciting situations and interesting gameplay. Because the game is non-linear in structure, the experience will be different for each player, which gives Atomfall a unique twist. Add to that good voice-acting and varied soundtrack and the complete adventure is very solid. Though you should expect some cumbersome combat, less-than-perfect stealth and some inconsistent stealth, that's no reason to skip the game though.

Perfect. Way better than fallout. It was my first game on newer consoles. Story, combat, everything is perfec. It's a good game for someone who likes Sci fi thrillers

I really enjoyed the game. Barely used a guide, which is unusual for me -- it just was designed in such a way that it really made me want to play the game fully. I hope for more AA games like this.

Rebellion's post-nuclear adventure is a shockingly excellent and wonderfully bizarre time.

Atomfall is not a game for the masses, but a motivating search for clues with British charm and a character all of its own.

I don't regret my time with Atomfall. It knows what it wants to be, with a reasonable scope and solid shooting mechanics. But issues with the skill system, its underbaked stealth, and an unengaging narrative are asterisks too large to ignore. Like the world it depicts, something exciting and unique lies at Atomfall's core. I just wish it wasn't walled off by my laundry list of frustrations.

As an accessible alternative to radioactive shooters with an endearing British flavor, Atomfall provides a good deal of fun. Sadly, it offers self-defeating design choices and literal eye pain alongside it. All the elements of a truly great FPS are here, all the potential in the world is waiting to be realized, and if not for a pile of dropped balls, it wouldn’t have tripped and fallen off that course...Plus, again, actual f.cking eye aches.

One of the best games that I've played in a long time. Such an original concept and setting with enjoyable quests and satisfying combat.

A fine game for the 1990's. A bit out of time and place. relatively linear, but well recognized and reasonably well played out. A nice addition to your suite of games - grab it if it is on special, but don't go out of your way. Don't expect to be rocked.

This game is painfully boring; the inventory system is a mess, combat is bad, and the story is not good and short. I wouldn’t pay more than 20 bucks for this garbage. Waste of money

boredom quickly sets in, artificial intelligence is a disaster. The plot, like many others, lacks panache.plus for the atmosphere...
SummaryA single player, survival-action game, Atomfall blends post-war Britain with Cold War paranoia, folk horror, and elements of classic British sci-fi like Day of the Triffids, Doctor Who and The Prisoner, to create an immersive and thrilling gameplay experience. Set in the rolling British countryside with idyllic pubs, quaint villages, ... Read More
