A Game About Digging a Hole is exactly what it promises: a simple, silly and unpretentious experience, but one that delivers honest fun for those looking for something different and without commitment. Its basic gameplay loop — digging, finding items, selling and improving equipment — may seem repetitive at first, but becomes more engaging as the player progresses. The game doesn't worry about guiding the player or teaching them how things in this little world work, which reinforces its casual and straightforward proposal.

This is a game about digging a hole in the ground and it's just as fun as it sounds, if not more!

It's surprising that with such a simple premise and simple gameplay, solo developer Cyberwave has managed to strike such an exquisite balance between player progression and curiosity to get to the end of the story in A Game About Digging A Hole.

Potential was there but remains a simple gameplay loops with a lot less to explore then one would expect

Even though the game isn't that interesting.. you're just digging a hole something about it made me not stop digging, lol. You eventually unlock achievement mode after you beat the game & getting all the achievements is easy after, first playthrough took me almost 2 hours, but once I knew what i was doing I did 2nd playthrough in 29 minutes & 100% it. Dynamite, Lights, Jetpack & Explosives add a fun mix to digging in the deep, the moles could have played a bigger part.

For a game that really isnt deep and doesnt have a story the gameplay loop is super satisfying and justifies the price tag easily. Its just pure simple fun

A very short, enjoyable experience. Took me about 1 hour to complete the game, minus achievements.

A Game About Digging A Hole is not just a game about digging, it is a small and exciting adventure that combines elements of strategy, exploration and creativity. It doesn't pretend to be complex or epic, but it can give you a few hours of pleasant fun. If you are looking for something unusual and relaxing, this game is definitely worth your attention.

A Game About Digging a Hole is a minimalist experience that will not blow you away. However, it is enjoyable in small doses. I liked the straightforward action and the freedom to explore. However, a lack of structural items creates grind. If the developer expands the core idea, this could be something special.

A Game About Digging A Hole is a chill, laid-back game perfect for relaxing without any pressure or real goal. You just dig a hole and upgrade your equipment. There’s nothing special about it, but it doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. The price is low and fits the content, although you can find better games for the same amount. It’s simple entertainment for a short while, good for unwinding, but easily forgettable.

An ok, self-explanatory game, but I definitely left disappointed in its actual payoffs and the end to its story.

A Game About Digging a Hole is an incremental game that just didn’t fully click with me. I didn’t find it especially engaging, and overall it felt a bit dull. I wasn’t even motivated to go for the 100%, especially since most achievements are hidden behind the main one. It’s not terrible, but it didn’t leave much of an impression either. I wouldn’t strongly recommend it.
