Once you get past the stage setting and fake-outs, "Foundation" season 2 improves on season 1 with a narrative that eventually comes into its own and feels like time well spent.

Viewers who know and love these characters may be willing to go along for the ride indefinitely, like good familiars, but in terms of humor, the mockumentary well is now running more absurd than dry.
