The concept is awesome, the interfaces are right and, for anyone thats tried to setup LAN gaming before I can say: This. Just Works. No messing around, copy and paste to the computer and go. Firewall? Old Computer? doesn't matter. (caveat, we only used windows machines, can't say for other systems) Regarding game play, because it works so smoothly it's all about the people you're playing with and we had an amazing time, it's more of a team game than anything else I've played. Also no star trek knowledge/interest required. Haven't had chance to try many of the mods yet (which are scenarios/stories), but first impressions were that those were good but lacking in enough description. Final word: get a projector/big tv, it makes the difference.
