Wildfrost is a delight in both its artistic style and its satisfying and involved moment-to-moment gameplay. The game demands some amount of learning via trial and error and asks you to carefully think through your moves, but once you get a feel for the game there is a lot of like: owing to its roguelike nature, every run is drastically different. Experimentation and creative thinking are rewarded, and playing the game is just overall a joy. If you have the patience to sit down and learn the ins and outs of wildrost, I trust that you'll really enjoy it.

Limbus company attempts to re-hash the strategic and deep combat found in Library of Ruina for a mobile gacha, but has failed to preserve what made this combat system so complex and engaging back in Library of Ruina. The amount of agency that a player has in combats is very low, and the sanity and stagger system both make the individual fights much shorter than normal. Often, fights are won or lost in a matter of 2-3 turns, with the player's inputs not really affecting the outcome. In addition, the free-to-play new player experience is miserable, since the amount of options given to the new player is very limited. All of this combined with the Project moon tradition of incomprehensible UI and a lack of real effort in creating good tutorials will make this game nigh-impossible to get into for anyone unfamiliar with project moon's previous works, and a let-down for long-term fans who want to experience more of Library of Ruina's deep and engaging combat.
