The reviews are for a sims game. This is not a sims game. Please ignore everything here.

Zaccaria Pinball8

Excellent game. Poor reviews are generally from people who either wanted a different kind of pinball game (modern tables or digital fantasy tables, the two kinds in Pinball FX) or people who played an earlier, buggier version of the game. That said, the online scoreboards still do not work, so I can't give it a perfect rating.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons6

Earlier Animal Crossing games are better, the DLC requires subscription, and my daughter can't have a different island than mine.

WRITHE8
Oct 23, 2021
Some of the reasons I like Writhe, progressing in order of importance 1. I like the visual style. (This is the first game other than Tangledeep that I actually sometimes leave a filter on for. I think the retro one is attractive, not just nostalgic. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's actually nostalgia, and I just don't know.)
2. I love having anything of the arcade FPS score attack genre on the Switch at ALL.
3. I like that I can play it with my kids in the room. I don't feel comfortable playing Doom 93 or 2016 or Devil Daggers with them in the room yet. This is actually the primary reason I bought it, haha.
4. Navigating 3d terrain with jumps mattering and with the egg/cocoon things makes this a very different challenge than Doom's arena WADs or than Devil Daggers. It's not a clone of anything that I know of. It's a very fun thing that is its own thing.

Requires an internet connection to play single player and uses horrible DRM.

Skelly Selest8

Skelly Selest is my favorite score-attack game I've yet played on the Switch. It's the closest I've come to Devil Daggers, Waves, or Swarm Attack so far. I often play 5-10 games in a row (lasting only about 5-10 minutes each.) You can also play it in dungeon mode, which is like Binding of Isaac, though I prefer it due to the greater reliance on skill and the overall decrease in randomness. I wish it had a little less randomness, but the amount it has is perfectly acceptable. It's a game of skill.
