7/10 TL:DR way too difficult, only for hardcore FPS gamers Pros: + adding dashing and double jump off the bat + still has some epic fights like in 2016 + a lot of cool things to do outside the campaign + new weapon abilities + entertaining scenes & dialogue + easier to upgrade guns than in 2016 Cons - Imbalanced overwhelming comically hilarious difficulty. Even with mods and toggling easy, the last few levels were completely bananas. The difficulty is great for hardcore FPS players, not fun, and inaccessible for everyone else. - ammo is scarce for the number of demons you have to deal with. - A giant toolbox to manage during intense fights, not a big detractor but could be streamlined like in DOOM 16. - Buff Totems - a hidden totem on the map that spawns and buffs current demons until you find it and destroy it. The demons are so strong they can kill you late game on easy if you can't find the totem in time. this should be something you can turn off. - certain runes should not be runes but in the game already, ie "better air control", how about just make that a thing in the first place. - the upgrade system is more convoluted than 2016 Other thoughts: I installed mods to try to mitigate the difficulty and it made things ok until the last few levels where things became overwhelming again. You have to be some sort of hardcore genius to play this game even on normal (hurt me plenty) without mods. And I would not recommend this game to my worse enemy on console due to the controller. This could have been a 9 or 10 but the devs got in their own way imo

Play Conquest and Birthright before playing Revelations and it's a fundamentally good game. The first two paths set the foundation and develop the characters, and then Revelations builds on that and ties everything together. emotionally compelling, semi voice acted, well-written games, finally bundled together as they should have been.

Even with the bugs, it's a good game on PC, I am editing my post now that I've completed all the endings and have 180 hours. The Bad: (bugs and glitches aside) The core story is short and has less character development than you'd expect from a big RPG A lot of content that was promised was cut to push the final product out Johnny Silverhand steals the show from V Cyberware, cars, and weapons are very expensive The game becomes far too easy once the player becomes level 40 The game's performance is choppy at times. Good: The cast of characters are interesting and have good dialogue The main quest/side questions are well written and a lot of fun The music SLAPS Powerful first-person perspective/feeling like you're there. Satisfying Melee Combat Great visuals even without RTX

I've played all 3 paths. The attention to relationships, voice acting, the plot, and combat is the best to date. New combats features are welcome. Animated cutscenes are fantastic. The Lords are well done, especially Dimitri. The dialogue and character personalities are top-notch. Cons: Black Eagles with Edelgard path is not as fleshed out as the other paths. weapon degrading, not being able to manually pair your units romantically, recruiting classmates can be difficult in NG. I would like to see Byleth be fully voiced during dialogue.

TLDR: I've played every Pokemon game so far (except x & y) and this is my favorite one and a step in the right direction for the games. Unlike most of these reviewers, I actually played this game. 8 badges in. Pros: New Wild Area gives you access to a whole bunch of pokemon and challenges (optional) upfront in addition to the traditional routes. Quality of Life improvements all over. Raid battles give you excellent rewards. Not grindy. More pokemon available in the main game than ever before. More of the pokemon you want earlier. Cons: The game needs voice acting! I would like to see a bigger wild zone with more challenges and options and content. Overall: It's a lot of fun and a step in the right direction for the series, I hope they continue in this direction and branch it out further. People say the game is easy but remember you can also turn battle style to "set" instead of "switch". and sell your potions and healing items.
