I think they made just about the best He-Man movie that is possible with the source material. It was colorful and fun. Not perfect though, and despite the run time it felt like it was missing some connective tissue. But, I enjoyed it way more then I was expecting too, and I would go see a sequel.

I was whelmed by the Mandalorian and Grogu. It kind of felt like a long filler episode. No big reveal, no character development, no meat on the bone. A wasted opportunity for Star Wars.

A movie that asks the real questions, like what's success without friends/loved ones to share it with and where did all the goth kids go?

I really wanted to like this movie, but it just didn't work for me. I usually really dig a retro futuristic look, but in this context it didn't add anything to the film. It was like Edgar Wright was hyper focused on making a better more faithful to the book adaptation then the 1987 movie, but made it in way to feel contemporaneous to the original, which seems pointless. There are some subversive under tones, that speak to the issues we're dealing with in the really world, but Glenn Powell seems like the worst possible messenger for that kind of stuff that I can think of.

I'm not the biggest Superman fan in the world, but this movie offers exactly what the world needs more of right now, a little more color and hope. From the first trailer it was obvious that David Corenswet was going to be able to provide what the Cavil films struggled with, a goofy and charming version of Clark Kent, I think Christopher Reeve would approve. I can't wait to see more of this new DCU, I like the idea of a DCU that's not afraid to be hopeful, vibrant and fun. The contrast of this Superman being matched up with the typically grim Batman sounds like a good time.

A solid well made movie, if not a little by the numbers and predictable. I've always loved stories of race teams bending the rules to get an edge and this certainly features a lot of that, but you could predict every major story beat from just the trailer. Not this movie needed any more "Dad Movie" cred, but it does feature both a Led Zepplin (which is rare in movies) and a Queen song. The movie takes product placement to new heights, but that's the nature of the beast in big budget movies in 2025 I guess. Brad Pitt radiates his usual charm. I'd be interested to see what Joseph Kosinski would do with a slightly smaller budget film that doesn't have to be so overly formulaic.

If this is the midlife crisis movie for my generation, then great. I've not heard a crowd laugh so hard at a showing in a really long time. Tim Robinson is a treasure.

Great movie, incredibly intense D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai could be the next big action star, and I'm okay with that.

I enjoyed this movie a lot more then I was expecting based on the critics reviews. It had a lot of Jared Hess oddness that I love. As a late GenX'er chronic gamer I vibed with Jason Mamoa's character more then I would have guessed.

A well written and acted little Sci-fi movie, it does a lot with it's small budget. The 2nd half is definitely stronger than the first, but it nails the landing. I'll be keeping this director in mind to see what she does next.

While I'm still not sure if the movie was good or terrible, I can say for sure that it was brave. If you partake, it's definitely one that you want go hard on the edibles for. Aubrey Plaza shines. For what it's worth I was never bored while watching it, confused, perplexed, annoyed, yes, but never bored.

An extremely creepy movie, that nails the 90s ascetic flawlessly. I watched it with a surprisingly full audience for a Thursday. You could feel the tension, which was cut by some funny moments. Highly recommend, this one will stick with you for awhile.

An excellent and well crafted movie, that had me thinking about it for days after seeing it. My only criticism would be that the ending felt a little rushed. I didn't know going in that this was the kick off to a new trilogy, but I'm glad to know that's the case, because I would love to see more of this world.

Some very funny bits, strung together with the thinnest of plots. But it did made me giggle out loud several times. With so few outright silly comedies being put out these days, I was happy to consume this one. I hope PDD gets another at bat soon,

While it was great to see Micheal Keaton as Batman again, I just wish it had been in a better movie. The fan service plays for nostalgia are some of the most ham fisted stuff I've ever seen. The good news is that the CG was so cheap and half-assed that it distracted me to the point it likely saved me from dying of 2nd hand cringe.

I think this movie is being very much underrated. While it's true the original Robocop is a better film overall, this new version is definitely worth seeing. It's a beautifully shot, well acted bit of thought provoking Sci-fi. Just wish that had but a little more dark humor into it.
