One of the best portable gaming experiences you can have. You don't play a character in this game you become the character. One of the very best games for the PSP and one that all gamers should experience.

It's not perfect by any means due to the text being blurry and hard to read. However, what you do get is a portable FF game that's totally addictive and very hard to put down once you overcome the text / graphics limitations. Being 2015 things have come along way graphically on portables but I still think this one is worth owning

After nine years of ownership I still think this is one of the best arcade ports on a console. Just as much fun as the original but this one fits in your pocket. The graphics and sound are great and car handling is as it should be for an Outrun game. If you want a simulation look elsewhere but if you want to kill some time and have fun it doesn't get much better than this.

My introduction to Mario Kart was when the SNES release came out. I was expecting a lot from the 3ds version and as such I was disappointed. it's just not fun anymore. Even online you still feel like you are on your own as it's become more about holding a racing line than actually competing with your opponents via power-ups and launching things at them. Lots of people love this game but I have no idea why. It's too simple to be a simulation and its too boring to be an arcade racer. The graphics and 3d effects are good as is the sound and overall presentation so for that I will give it a reluctant 6/10.

My introduction to Star Fox was via the SNES and the 3dS version does not disappoint. The gameplay is still wonderful but now the game has the graphics to match, Especially on the New 3DS where you can use the Gyro and 3d without the problems encountered on the older 3ds hardware. The only downside of this game is that the campaign is very short. at a few hours long. It has some replay value in that you can chase medals by meeting goals on levels but anyone looking for fifty hours of gameplay should look elsewhere. Given that you can now pick this game up for next to nothing I'd say it's a game well worth owning.

Looks good on paper but at the end of the day I prefer MH3U. I miss the water levels and don't get any joy out of leaping onto monsters in this one. It's still a very good game and online play is great but from someone that has played all the PSP versions of the game and MH3U on 3ds this one is the least inspiring. I might come back to it once I've finished MH3U using all weapon classes. But that's going to take a long time to achieve.

I have played all versions on the PSP and can state that MH3U on the 3DS is a far better experience. Better controls, graphics, sound, and gameplay. Best of all you won't be getting those nasty claw grip hand cramps like you did on the PSP. The lack of online is not an issue as the challenge of taking on the monsters alone is a far more rewarding experience. If I only had one game for my 3ds this would be it as it's a lot of fun, rewards like no other, and takes many thousands of hours to complete using all weapons types / classes. Highly recommended to fans of the franchise or to anyone that likes fighting with a solid tactical / strategic foundation.

Street Fighter was the reason I bought a SNES and it was also the reason I bought a 3ds. The best fighter on Nintendo just got better. Plenty of options, online, 3d mode , and the list goes on. Over 3 years since it was released on 3DS and I'm still playing this one on a regular basis. How many games on a handheld have that kind of lifespan ?

I honestly don't understand all the hype. It's a fighting game but a very basic one compared to other offerings such as Street Fighter or dare I say it WWE Wrestling. On the 3DS the characters while moving freely and looking sharp they are also incredibly small making it difficult to spot your character or indeed determine which way they are facing. But it's not all bad news. There are a plethora of options for this game and I have no doubt for the fans its a big release. For though, I think it's a game best played on-line on a big screen TV.

EA Sports FIFA series may own all the licences but PES 2013 completely owns FIFA when it comes to gameplay, graphics, and presentation. Give this game the licences EA Sports FIFA enjoys and PES 2013 would be a solid ten in my book. For soccer on the go PES 2013 is the benchmark on portable consoles and is a game all 3ds fans of the sport should own. Brilliant.

I could not put this game down and would recommend it to anyone that played and enjoyed the Metal Gear Acid series of games on the PSP. FPS type games rarely work well on portable consoles so making this a turn based strategy version of Ghost Recon makes a lot of sense. IWell worth owning and it can often be had at bargain prices.

Super Mario Bros 2 is a competent platform game for the 3ds. While it's not a bad game it never really captures the imagination or compels you to play it for hours on end. Overall, it's just too similar to previous games and in many respects not as good as Mario 3D or for that matter Donkey Kong Country. Hard to recommend to anyone other than fans that simply must play every Mario game.

When it comes to platform games Nintendo really know what they are doing and Super Mario 3D Land is a worthy addition to the Mario franchise. Gorgeous graphics,great music, well thought out level design, and a simple but effective control system. While it's not my favourite 3ds game I can certainly understand that it would be a favourite game for many. 9/10.

Graphics, gameplay, Bosses. Replay value, depth... Kid Icarus Uprising has it all. Sure the controls are a bit weird at first but within a few hours you will feel comfortable with them and after a week or so you will not be able to imagine playing it any other way. The stand that comes with the game is fine but I preferred to not use it. The best method I found was to balance the 3ds on my right pinkie and hold the stylus between the right thumb and index finger. The left hand is business as usual in that thumb controls stick and index fires button. This game is just an all round wonderful experience and perhaps the most brilliant gaming experience I've had with the 3ds since Fire Emblem and Resident Evil Revelations. This ones a masterpiece people and Nintendo have once again shown the competition how it's done.

Fire Emblem Awakening on the 3ds certainly lives up to all the hype. Graphics, Sound, Character development, story line, weapons, magic,tactics, and a very long lasting and ultimately addictive experience overall. And by addictive I'm talking well over 50hrs of gameplay and you will become genuinely attached to the characters in your team. And lets not forget the replay value of the game. As soon as you finish it, you will want to do it all again and pick up those characters you may have missed or indeed lost along the way. Brilliant.

When Donkey Kong Country came out on the SNES it was a class above anything I'd ever seen before on a console. Donkey Kong Country Returns builds upon that game and brings it to the 21st Century though it's not the quantum leap from all other platformers that the original was. That being said, this is a very good platformer with great graphics, wonderful sound, and many challenging and fun levels. Overall, DK is back and this one will bring a smile to the face of those new to the franchise and those who have played previous games. The only people that will hate this game are Sony as it's yet another nail in the coffin of the Vita.

This is easily the best 3ds game I have played. The graphics, sound and level design are near perfection and once you start playing this game you will not want to put it down. I'm playing it on the 3ds XL using the Circle Pad Pro and it is definetly an added advantage and well worth seeking out. Overall, I think this game is a must for all 3ds owners and a very good reason for those that don't own a 3ds to get one.

The actual fishing model used in this game is amazing. The way it allows you to control the rod tip and as such direct the fish in combination with the reel is the business. Anyone that fishes will absolutely love just how realistic this game feels once the fish is hooked.. There is also a good variety of species to catch - each requiring a different technique to land. As in other fishing games there are various lures and baits to select - each chosen after taking consideration of the species you are after and the location you are fishing at. The downside to the game is that it's too easy to catch fish. Sure you will break the line or pull the hook out every now and then. But the real problem is that the fish just aren't fussy enough when it comes to bait or lure selection. Anyone that fishes knows this is not how it really is. Another gripe is that you fish from the shore rather than in a boat. As such, the playing area feels very confined. Overall, I see this game as one with massive potential let down by a lack of purpose or sense of achievement. Fighting the fish is without a doubt brilliant in this. It's what goes on before and after that lets it down. For all its flaws I'm giving it 7/10 simply because the model used to fight the fish is as good as I have experienced.

It's big, open, colourful, and there is plenty to do. Unfortunately, it is also for the most part mind numingly boring. The level design leaves a lot to be desired because you often find yourself wondering around most of the time completing various tasks which may or may not help you to get to the next phase of the game. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for open level design that gives the gamer choices. But in this game everything is a gamble and there appears to be little if any logic behind it. At times you think it's just wonderful and I can see why many people like it. But then again, Justin Beiber sells a lot of albums. Worth a look but nowhere near as good as many would have you believe.

It's hard make no mistake about that - but it's not ghosts and goblins hard. Yet, the difficult is part of the attraction as well. Sure you might die plenty of times trying to complete a level and at times frustration may get the better of you. However, unlike many games the more you play this one the more you learn. And as you learn you develop the skills necessary to complete the levels. And trust me, when you do complete a level you feel a sense of achievement because unlike a lot of games - you really earn it. So Forget the crap scores given by magazine reviews. Those clowns are faced with time constraints and as such cannot give brilliant games such as Shinobi the time they need. Anyone that liked previous Shinobi games should get this and anyone that likes a challenge should also grab a copy. Those who think playing The Sims makes them hardcore should probably look elsewhere
