Mario Kart Wii9

A truly brilliant mario kart game. one of the first nintendo exclusives I ever played, and i will always remember its fun and original courses and, contrary to popular opinion, it's really fun controls and wheel adapter. difinitive racing game for the wii.

Super Mario Odyssey10
Jan 29, 2018
It's an odyssey, plain and simple. but the journey makes me feel like a tourist, to be honest, collecting odyssey souvenirs, having a brochure style map screen and seeing the sights, along with the goals which i won't spoil. the "power up equivalent" that we get with cappy is brilliant, giving us so much to work with over countless brilliantly though out kingdoms, from a hat town to- actually, i won't spoil it. one thing that i found doesn't work well, however, is multiplayer, but it might work better if i had more joy-cons. it takes elements from all six 3D games, not just the "main four" that we usually think of. the controls, especially with the roll and crouch, feels like 3D land, but other elements are reminiscent of galaxy. it's packed with references to 64, and the freeness to explore fixed areas full of collectibles which you gain access to after collecting a certain amount is CLEARLY taken from 64. sunshine doesn't get much, but there is a kingdom that feels like it's a reference to the game cube classic. I can't put much more without spoiling, but i will say this: get the game.

Super Mario 3D Land9
Jan 9, 2018
A brilliant game, Incorporating brilliant 3D gameplay that is taken advantage of well, brilliant use of the 3ds's controls and perfect camera angles all the time. Only really three lasting powerups (the fire flower, the leaf and the boomerang flower), but they still keep me happy. Playing as Luigi is super satisfying, as i like him a lot better than Mario, and the way the Super Leaf was used, with an BANDANNA was very well done. the special levels were an unexpected end game twist, and the star-coins add a lot of replay value. I would criticize the fact that in later worlds star coins are extremely Vital, and Some of the levels are in desperate need of a checkpoint (curse you S8 Crown!) and, of course, I could never let the P-wing and Holy leaf slide. A solid game, with a lot to discover! Gosh, and I haven't even mentioned the music and powerup storage!

LEGO Battles9

I love this game, and would love a 3DS, or even Wii U Remake with More current themes and more campaign missions. Adorable cutscenes, a lot better than I would expect for the console it was designed for, Touch screen controls that aren't to overused, making it feel more like an ipad game. Actual Strategy and war. The stories are so gripping, and seeing both sides really make you question who the villain is, when we discover that the wizard needs objects of power from the kingdom to rescue his love, when Broadside reminds everyone that pirates are criminals and murderers and We discover that the so-called martians are as stranded as we are, and side with the criminals because they feel empathy towards them. and sure, it was a bit cheap to throw in the ninja alliance just to cash in on ninjas, but i can forgive them for that, because ninjas. It's beautiful in every way, and feels perfect to the touch. Not much end-game content, but gripping and lifelike chapters are fun to replay. The Red Bricks Are broken, but then, they always were. any fan of strategy games who isn't to hardcore should try this, as well as any lego fans looking for something different.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Special Demo Version8
Oct 17, 2017
Hey! Let's start off with stuff. it loses a mark because I don't have it in me to rate a demo 10. The time based events also annoy me. But everything else is awesome, and I wish they had actually made the dragon trial in the main game how it is in the demo. well worth it, if just to get greninja, there are plenty of other rewards too, and they really help boost you forward at the beggining, and are still useful at the end.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe7
Oct 16, 2017
GO team kirby! This game sends you off to a super-fun flying start, before becoming more slow and fremium. Gem apples are annoying to get after you get more and more achievements. I reccomend being the beam mage, and keeping at least two characters of the same job in your team, for better efficiency (just ditch healmore). if you are willing to spend on this, just buy 50 gem apples and leave it at that. It has decent internet features, but I just really wish it wasn't so much like lesser games. Kirby deserves better! i got really mad when I had to spend loads of gem apples on normal levels. Ordeals, Acceptable, I guess (Except Pyribbet's insane 30 apples). I found the format of Each Level being its own boss really different and fun, But It's VERY annoying how the power tablets are rarer in the later levels. So, now I hardly ever see them and almost never get to Pull off the amazing Team meteor, and i BECAME REALLY BAD AT THE RYTHEM GAME. Oops, caps lock. The Jobs were great, and this game incorperates kirby's cuteness potential well (had to say it). I feel This Game Needs Maybe Some Powerups, Purposeful sidequests, And I'd Be blown Away By Having Meta Knight Playable.

Pokemon Omega Ruby9
Oct 16, 2017
This is a game with a lot to do. Returning P.S.S. Making communications perfect, toolbar is super-helpful, minigames are fun. The buzznav is pretty boring, but wonder trade channel always cracks me up. Brilliant main game and post game storlines and plot. so MUCH TO FIND AND DO! The main way it loses points for me, is the bases, a brilliant after-game project, But flag collecting can be a bit of a bore after a while, especially with all the trolls stopping us from reaching it. I also Find I lways want/need more space, with no good reason for nintendo not giving us a bigger item allowment, there's enough room in my base! I wish we could add extra floors, and have something like a team rocket hideout. Base building is amazing, but hasso much missed potential!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity8
Oct 16, 2017
Underrated! UNDERRATED!!! This Game Is bursting with sidequests, End-game content and Immersive story! Building paradise was an amazing long-term project, and while the game might be easy, the story is amazing and the bosses are great. Sure, I'm not a great fan of "discover a magnagate", but bonus levels are bonus levels. Building paradise and getting as many powerful partners as I can is something I often come back to when bored, so consider this my choice for the mystery dungeon game with the best post-game. it gets some fun minigames too, but they do feel a bit watered down. (no pun intended for the starmie diving minigame)

Bubble Bobble10
Oct 16, 2017
Best of the classic arcade, Much more fun then things like donkey kong, whIch we immidiately think of when arcade classics. The very best of taito, who are often forgotten due to their dependence on sega or nintendo licencing. The bubble and biting mechanics are perfect, and the broto-bros. multiplayer mode (not actually called that) is ever fun. spew out bubbles to your heart's content! Anyone who enjoyedthe baby yoshis in New Super Mario Bros. U will enjoy delving into the game that inspired their design and concept, as the ancestors of our old friend yoshi journey to the cave of monsters, picking up a few snacks along the way. I was Heartbroken when I discovered this game didn't make it onto the NES classic.
