NBA 2K270

I paid CAD $100 after tax for NBA 2K27, and I find its progression design extremely unethical. I am a casual player. I enjoy playing single-player content, not spending hundreds of dollars building the perfect online player. I completed the main story with my build. When I want to play different NBA Eras, however, the game requires me to create separate builds. Every new build starts at 65 OVR. I am currently at 69 OVR, playing on the second-lowest difficulty. In the Michael Jordan Bulls Era, I am asked to beat David Robinson in rebounds. At this rating, the challenge is almost impossible without purchasing VC. This is not a story mission. It is single-player Era content that I have already paid for. Why should I have to pay again to make a new build playable? I understand that VC is part of NBA 2Kâs business model. But there is a difference between offering optional purchases and designing progression so that casual players feel forced to buy currency just to enjoy the game. The game seems to cater to whales and online influencers who spend heavily on builds, while casual players are left with an experience that feels frustrating and unnecessarily expensive. I paid $100 for a game, not for the privilege of paying more to enjoy its single-player modes.2K needs to rethink this design. Let players enjoy single-player modes without forcing them to grind multiple builds from 65 OVR or buy VC. Full-priced games should respect casual players too.
